Best Investment To Add To Your Sewing stach
This product is great. This item is easy to use and convenient. I have always had to take so much time to wind bobbins but this is awesome to use and quickly completes the task. Even as a beginner, this is one part of sewing that is uncomplicated.

This thing is amazing!
I got this because I was tired of having to re-thread my sewing machine just to fill a bobbin. What a treat that it fills the bobbin SO FAST!!! On the machine, I'd start the winding and then do something else while it finished. With this, I don't even have time to pick up something else - its already done! It winds with good tension and reasonably evenly (more evenly than my machine!) - no issues so far. It looks/feels a little on the cheesy side, with what seems like flimsy plastic pieces, but wow! - those pieces work fast! And really, we're just talking about winding thread, for goodness sake - it doesn't need to be super strong, just super functional. And it certainly is that!I use the AC adaptor, and just keep it plugged in. It's a neat little case that closes right up - so it doesn't even get dusty. Definitely a good purchase!

Make sure the threader is tight
This worked well for me - as soon as I learned to make sure the winder tension was tight (turn it to the right). If you don’t do that the bobbin thread will be too loose. It works very fast. I used a regular spool size of thread. It may not work well with large spools.

Steer clear
Not worth the money. Doesn't wind bobbins correctly and I set it up correctly via the directions.

Efficient bobbin winder
I used it with both regular and serger threads. If you use a serger bobbin, you need to hold it up at an angle like on the picture. If you use the automatic stop feature, the bobbin will not be fully full, you will need to continue manually to fill it a bit more. As you can see on the pictures (for the green thread), I have use the automatic stop feature on one (has the least thread), and I continue pressing on the read button until full for the other bobbin. On the pictures, you can also see that the filling of the bobbins are not even, but it doesn’t bother me. The tension is good, and the quite strong. For the green thread, it was not that noisy, but for the purple, it was more noisy. I did notice that the purple thread was spread more evenly than the green one. Putting and removing the bobbin on the feeder was a bit hard; I hope it will last in time. The winder is very easy to use and the speed is right. Overall, I’m satisfied with this little machine so far.

Handy if you love to make bobbins!
I love having matching bobbins for each thread color. Having this separate bobbin winder means I don't have to stop what I am doing on the machine and spin up the right color bobbin. Also, I can make a bunch of bobbins anywhere instead of sitting at the sewing machine. It's very practical if you are into making bobbins.

Shame on Simplicity
It's shame they did not put more into this little gadget. It's very cheaply made, like... Chinese 1$ toy cheap. No one seems to make a bobbin winder that is truly any good. I read a review on this compared to the 99$ version of the same thing and she said that honestly this one was the better of the 2. How sad is that? Yes it winds bobbins. I won't say they are beautifully wound bobbins but it does wind them. I want to say it's a sorry piece of crap, but I'll refrain because it does do the intended job and for 26$ it's a handy back up choice. I had to have it because I broke the bobbin plate on my Janome S7 and while waiting for the replacement part I needed to wind bobbins. I looked at every available machine on the web and Amazon at price points from this to 128$, none have good reviews and are completely hit and miss as to function and quality. So here we are. For me this will only be used as a backup source and not as something I would want to use every day. The bobbin was tough getting on the spindle, I had to jam it on there. The thread spool holder pulls up and is terribly wobbly, epic design fail. 🤷 The stop start button can get stuck down. It's a bit ridiculous really.

Ease of use
The Bobbin Side Winder unit is a great addition to any seamstress to prepare for a large sewing project. Speec, storage capacity, functional and low noise when using.
