I debated whether or not to buy this item because of all the negative reviews about packaging, etc. We love dogs, and we love Grommit, so I decided to give it a try. The packaging wasn't great (Grommit was loose inside a small box), but he managed to arrive all in one piece. Hopefully he'll work for a long time.I love it that the solar panel is on the top. This means that Grommit's face can be towards us while he's in the sun. Many of the solar-powered toys have the panel in the front. This means that you have to turn the toy's face away from you so that the panel can get full sun.

When he arrived his ear had broken off! I glued it back and it is as good as new!!!

It is so simple, but will wag it's tail in any light. It is very sensitive. It keeps me happy to see it get so excited when the sun comes out!

This is an excellent addition to my small collection of solar toys, I absolutely love it! It’s cuter than I anticipated, I didn’t know the tail wagged too. I was so happy with it I ordered one for a friend of mine!

Poor packaging. He was thrown in a box ( I opt for less packaging) that Gromit was not in his container and his ear had come unglue. Fortunatly I was able to fixt the ear and he works perfect! Simply pleasures!
