A box full of bits
Bought for my partner for Christmas. This kept him occupied for a while. A box full of lego type pieces, bagged up and ready to use alongside the books of instruction. This works up into a good sized piece so ensure you have space for storing as well as making up.

Brilliant construction toy
Takes hours to complete but very satisfying, the only reason not a 5 star is that the base is not able to hold the crane when extended and topples over. Happy time over Christmas constructing this!

Very difficult build, well worth the effort
Get one thing straight. This is NOT a few hours work. This is weeks of effort. Thousands and thousands of pieces and a very tightly printed manual. With care, and attention to detail and some building skills, this huge model is very very satisfying to build.And it works. Needed a few tweaks to get some of the gears unbound and re-establish some joints - but when done, this crane tower over 6 feet into the air. It's awesome.I did try the earlier version of this kit a few years back and was massively disappointed. This version - it's excellent. Would have given 5* but a few of the pieces were really tough to fit together - the axles in particular can be very tight.
