Worth every dollar
We're a Bosch family. Our master shower needed to be replaced and that meant a lot of dust in a room that has no windows we could open for airflow. We bought this along with a new angle grinder and a few other tools that attached to the dust extractor in the hopes that it would cut back on the crap in the air. It worked pretty much flawlessly. We had to cut fiberglass, drywall, grind thinset, and much more. It picked up 99% or more of the dust.It does "Thump" every 30 seconds or so to clean the filter but you can turn that off. Another cool feature is being able to plug your power tool into the vacuum and have it turn on with the tool (it'll "thump" right before it shuts off - I kept thinking somebody was knocking on my door). It was expensive but one of those "you get what you pay for" kind of tools. This won't replace a shop-vac because it's pretty much for just collecting dust your tools are creating but it's definitely worth buying if you are grinding thinset off of an interior floor or having to do any kind of cutting inside.

Great for sanding!
The Bosch dust extractor is an absolute powerhouse! Its suction power is nothing short of impressive, effortlessly tackling even the finest dust particles with ease. It's a remarkable value for money, given its exceptional performance and the peace of mind it offers for a clean workspace. What's equally noteworthy is its remarkably low noise level, making it a pleasant and quieter addition to my workshop. The only exception is the filter unclogging tapping sound it makes about every 30 seconds, a feature which can be disabled via a button. Bosch has truly outdone themselves with this dust extractor, and it has quickly become an indispensable tool in my arsenal. If you're in search of a high-performing, cost-effective, and noise-conscious solution for dust extraction, this Bosch extractor deserves a resounding five-star rating.

Always has full power, automatic turn on feature convenient and easy to use.
After owning shopvacs and ridgid this is in a whole other league. I can't believe how well the filter cleaning works. I bought this after my ridgid vac kept getting it's filter clogged during a bathroom remodel. I was griding thinset off the concrete and my ridgid vac filter was getting completely clogged after 30 minutes even with cyclone dust separator inline.Out of necessity I bought a vacuum with the automatic clean feature. I debated tether to get the festool, fein or bosch. I am very happy with the Bosch having other Bosch tools I knew it would be designed well and have good support. The hepa filter give me the piece of mind that I am not spewing fine dust over my whole house with each use. I now use this vacuum to clean out all my other vacuums in the house and in the garage since it never clogs up.

What could i say about this. Very powerful., makes clean up easier. Just remember to always keep an eye on the bag remembering not to over full it.

works well - loud thump.
It makes a loud thump every 15 seconds with the auto filter cleaning turned on. You can turn it off - but everytime you restart the vacuum it defaults to being on.. Disposable Bags are about $4-7 a piece - i haven't tried the knockoffs yet. Otherwise a very heavy and solidly built unit. Despite the high CFM of these dust extractors - I'm not sure they work better than my shop vac for cleaning the floor - but they definitely keep the air cleaner..

Worth the Money
I was back and forth on purchasing this vacuum, due to the price. I paired this with the concrete polisher/grinder to take out high spots in my basement floor. It took about 10 minutes to knock off the peak at the joint. Very little dust was not captured, but was able to be sucked up afterwards.Very well made product as you would expect from Bosch.

VAC can't keep up with sander, power switch failed after less than 2 yrs of use.
After my Festool CT26 caught fire from sucking in burning router dust, I replaced it with this Bosch vac. I wish I had bought a Mirka or Fein. The auto clean function is obnoxiously loud and doesnt seem to do any good except to cause loss of suction mid cut. This vac can't keep up with any of my air sanders on its best day with new filter and bag. And now after just over a year in service the power switch fails and they want $38 to replace it! I love my other Bosch tools but stay away from their dust extractors until they improve.
