Stewart Varese Low Planter, Granite Effect, 40 cm

The media could not be loaded. I need to repot my Swiss Cheese Plant and doing so requires a pretty sizeable pot. After scouring Amazon for something suitable, I came across this product and decided to go for it, opting for the 40cm which is perfect for my plant. I didn’t want to pay £100 upwards for a terra cotta pot so discovering a cheaper, plastic option was ideal.Delivery was prompt, arriving within a day and the product suitably packaged. Being made of plastic it is quite lightweight but once filled with soil it won’t be moving anywhere. The pot is pretty sturdy and hard enough not to bend or dent, unless you were to take a run up and jump on it.I can confirm that there are 4 x holes which have been pre-drilled for drainage purposes. I will be adding some extra holes but for an item straight out the box, it will happily drain excess water if you’ve not got a drill to hand.In terms of colour, it appears to me as anthracite / black with little white speckles dotted all over. It looks aesthetically pleasing and I’m sure even more so once it has the plant in it.There are some details printed onto the base of the pot, which for the 40cm shows a volume of 25LTRS. As for the dimensions (HxWxD) of the pot, please see the attached pics.Overall this is a great pot for homing your plants. I bought this planter to keep a golden retriever from eating my blueberry bushes! It’s tall enough he can’t even see the rim so my blueberry bushes can be left in peace! It’s very deep and would be expensive to fill, so I added rubble and plastic bottles to the bottom to bulk it out and make the soil cost cheaper. Very easy to move and has drainage holes at the bottom and looks fantastic either side of my door. Would happily order more of these!!

bought these for the front of those to add a bit of decor/colour. they are sturdy and the dimension descriptions are accurate to help find the right topiary ball to insert. only slight drawback is that the closer you are, the plastic aesthetics are more noticeable but from a distance and walking past the house, they do the job perfectly (and great value compared to others alternatives)

Fabulous classy look, sturdy and stylish ideal for larger plants or summer mixtures. I love these.I purchased 4 at a local garden centre and then when I went back they’d sold out of these round ones. After a search on Amazon they notified me these were available. Happy days! Easily pleased. So snaffled 4. Might go back for more!

Wow, what can I say apart from I didn’t expect the size and heavy duty design. Definitely worth the money. It was bought for an indoor plant, however I’ve now decided it is more suitable for a larger plant/tree for the garden. Great product, fast delivery and highly recommended

I had a bit of a delivery problem to start with. I hadn't noticed that deliver could be 3-months. I contacted Amazon who pointed out that it was what it said on the advertisement. However, the team must have fixed it for me because the pot arrived a week later and I was very pleased with the quality. It's now in my back garden and is supporting two clematis and a climbing frame. I would order this item again (as long as the delivery time was reasonable.).

I’ve been looking for a similar tall pot for a while but everywhere I looked they were just silly prices, way beyond what I’d expect to pay! I’d seen this one in a garden centre but it was considerably more than I was prepared to pay so I was thrilled to find it on Amazon at a far more reasonable price! It will need to be weighted down to save it from falling over in high winds but when I finally get round to planting various summer bedding plants I know it will look fabulous! I’m very pleased with my purchase!

Great value for a really large plant pot. Really lightweight but sturdy.
