The way the refrigerator is designed, you don't actually need a filter. The filter contains an RFID chip that the refrigerator sees so it knows when you changed the filter.Once you figure out where your water cut off is just to be safe, switching the filter out is pretty simple. Just be sure to run the water for a couple minutes to get air bubbles out of the waterline and make sure the icemaker won't get air bubbles

Gives you great tasting water. I have terrible water coming into my house. I’ve complained more times than I can count. They always say it’s my old pipes. I don’t believe that as my neighbor had his pipes replaced and his water taste and looks just like mine. Everyone in my whole area says the same thing , so it can’t be my pipes. However the water coming through the Samsung filter is definitely a nice relief. Don’t ever change the filter without shutting off the water. I was dumb enough to make this mistake flooded my kitchen even with that the end result was worth it!

This item has been great. This specific product to me was beeter that the filter that came witht the refrigerator. I feel like this last for more than 6 months. I say thay bc I have not had to purchase another one sine I bought the bundle package.

I feel these filters do a really good job at taking out the gross taste in our water, gave only 4 stars because I feel like these could last longer, but what do I know

Super easy to install, compatible for my Samsung bespoke, lasts for a while & keeps the water filtered. I am picky on how water tastes & have never had an issue with this filter!

This is likely the one item that I will forever subscribe and save to.... This thing is by far the easiest water filter cartridge I have ever had to replace. Once a new one shows up at my door I know to replace it. My fridge has an inside pitcher or water. I typically empty that out at least four times to "break in" the new filter.
