I’m quite new to the world of electronics and needed a multimeter to complete guitar projects. I was looking for a multimeter that wasn’t too expensive and wasn’t going to bamboozle me when it came to trying to use it! I picked this one because the price was right, it already had some very good reviews and it looked pretty simple to use. Ready to use from opening the box, battery fitted already. I’ve had it for about 6 months now, still as good now as the day I unboxed it. Build quality: Seems tough enough, got a bit weight to it, nice big display with a blue backlight (separate button for this). The dial turns nicely, clicks effortlessly through each setting. Definitely doesn’t feel like a budget item. 12 o’clock is off position, no auto off function. It’s a nice size, not too obtrusive on my work bench. It has a handy stand which tucks away flush at the back. I have found this to work well, other reviews mention it being flimsy. It depends on how rough you are I suppose, no problems personally. Performance: Appears to be accurate. Used mainly for resistance and continuity. Would’ve been nice to have crocodile attachments for the probes but this is a budget multimeter. All in all, a good piece of kit for the money, seems to be accurate, does everything that I need it to do and looks good doing it- everything you need for hobbyist electronics. I would certainly recommend this product.

I needed a simple, cheap multimeter to add to my toolbox for basic DIY work. Checking fuses, batteries, broken wires and power supply can all be achieved with this neat little meter. I'm no electrician and don't expect to use this for any more than simple checks.The meter arrived quickly and has a good 'feel' to it. The instructions give basic info but not enough to teach the user how to operate the meter. To be honest if you don't know the basics of electricity it's probably best not to try and use this. (There are a number of youtube tutorials if you do struggle though). The leads and probes appear well made and the dial operates solidly with a good clear LCD screen.The instructions state that the meter can be used to indicate ambient temperature, however this seems to be an error as I cannot find a setting for it - so 1 star taken off for that.All in all I'm happy with this small investment and hope to save time messing around trying to determine if batteries and fuses are good or duff!

What a little beauty this meter is. Solidly built, clear screen in all lights, and surprisingly accurate. Buy as a spare if you are in the business of checking electronics and power circuits, or it would serve as a main tester if you are a hobbyist. Excellent value!
