Works great with Intel 82599ES, Dell X520-DA2 0C63DV
This review is for the model "10GTEK 10GBase-SR SFP+ Transceiver, 10G 850nm MMF, up to 300 Meters, Compatible with Intel E10GSFPSR". The product worked flawlessly with a Dell X520-DA2 0C63DV that has the 82599ES chip on it. I had used another 10gtek SFP out of my collection, but it would cause the interface to disappear. This module had zero issues, and is quick and easy to install.

Max Speed, simple Plug and play into one of those ports on my switch I thought was useless to me.
My switch has 2 10 Gig ports I thought I would never be able to use, they were for connecting switches together. Now they are connecting my 2 servers to all of my other devices, with maximum throughput to all of my computers. All I did was add an inexpensive pcie card to the servers and away it all went. Plug and play. Amazon has a return policy, and you could buy them to

So many bits, so little time...maybe get 10Gb fiber links to help make the data flow faster!
There's even HIGHER speeds nowadays, but to be frank, few of us can really use much more than a gigabyte of connection capacity as it is. If you DO need more, I found these to be an excellent option short of 40/100Gbe QSFP links and other crazy stuff like that. These were for my Mikrotik CSS326-24G-2S+RM switch, and my Arista '7050S' SFP switch. I've had no issues, and so far these transceivers work at a decent temperature for my uses. I haven't packed my 7050s full of these lasers to see how they get at high density, but so far they seem to run nice and cool. It even offered me 'laser strength and attenuation' options in my 7050s's 'advanced transceiver configuration options', but I didn't dare go messing with anything. THAT level of uber-tuning is beyond my needs, skill AND knowledge...but it DID offer laser strength options and stuff when I queried them once for my lulz.I've owned these for over a year now, and none of them have failed on me so far, for whatever that might be worth!

2.5Gbps no problem
I installed this module in my Aruba 2920 switch, and it connected with an inexpensive thunderbolt 2.5gbps adapter with no issue (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C2H9HVH3). On the switch side, it shows to be coded as a SFP+SR transceiver. I reliably get 2.3Gbps using iperf.

10Gtek is great
10Gtek is my default brand for transceivers on the cheap. They are reliable and compatible, which is what you should expect from such device. This one works well in my pfSense box with an uplink to ONT for a while now. Highly recommended.

Works in Dell X520/I350 network card
I bought these for my Dell PowerEdge R630, which has an embedded X520/I350 network card with dual 1G Ethernet ports and dual 10G SPF+ slots (Intel 82599ES controller).I have bought many, many 10Gtek SFP+ transceivers over the past several years (primarily for MikroTik devices), and I have never had a single problem with them. However, this is the first time that I bought a pair of these that came in a nifty little tin. Completely unnecessary, but a nice touch nonetheless! The insides are removable, so you can use the tin for anything you want. Neat!

Extremely strange problem but outstanding support from 10Gtek
--- Update 12.17.2018---I had a pleasant and very professional conversation with 10Gtek. They immediately offered me a full refund. Their engineering team managed to replicate the problem and are currently investigating. Once the problem is fixed I will update the overall rating to 5 stars.--- Review ---I am having a strange problem with these transceivers and I have no explanation. If you have any idea please share.I have two computers directly connected with these transceivers via 1m fiber cable.Computer "A" is Dell Precision workstation with Intel X520-DA2Computer "B" is Supermicro X9DR7 with Intel X520-DA2Every time "B" gets restarted or powered on, the audio on computer "A" stutters for 1 second and at the same time the picture freezes. It is the most noticeable when watching youtube videos. This happens a second or two after you press the power button on computer "B" - in other words it has nothing to do with the OS on computer "B". On "B" I am running XenServer and I am passing through X520-DA2 to one of the VMs. The moment I power on this particular VM the problem appears again - the sound stutters and the picture freezes for a second on computer "A". I did dozens of restarts and power ons/offs and got really frustrated. The moment I unplug the fiber cable from the transceiver and there is no stutter. I don't even have to unplug the transceiver from the network card. The moment I plug the fiber cable back in and the problem returns. Although the 10Gb communication works between both computers and although I will not be restarting the server very often, the stuttering audio and frozen picture is unacceptable for me.After a month I decided to see what will happen if I use Passive Direct Attach Copper cable. Got one from the same seller (10Gtek) and same length - 1m. And to my surprise I no longer can reproduce the issue. It looks like the DAC cable solves my problem. The question is why?Unfortunately I cannot return the transceivers since one month has already passed.I will gladly update the review and the rating if someone gives me an explanation and a solution.
