Can reuse carbon filters if you put them in the sun for a day and clean off all the dust
Easy to cut and fit my HEPA filter. I take it out and shake, air in the sun for a few uses. I have a cat, so it really helps.

Really worked for me!
So occasionally, I make hickory smoked brown sugar, bacon. I bake it in the oven and it makes a certain amount of smoke. I don’t have outside ventilation so in the past, the house would smell like the bacon for as long as a week. Last week I bought this, and after I made the bacon, I cut a piece and put it in my filter vent Over the regular filter. In less than 24 hours, there was no smell in the house from the bacon. This really worked for me.

Protects my furnace filter from dirt without stressing the pump system
There's not enough room in the design of my heating/cooling system to hold filters to add anything. I put it on my furnace OUTSIDE the intake vents, facing the laundry / mud room to intercept smells and large particles of dust from outside that will clog up my way-too-expensive fine particle filters. Every week, I take it to my patio and place it in direct sunlight for a couple of hours to help revive the filter, ending up with a brush down with a lint roller. It doesn't say it has "activated" charcoal, but it works better after the sunlight heat bath. I was ready to fold it to make it thicker, but I didn't want to put more stress on my air system engine and I found I didn't need to! The inside filters were equally clean on both sides. When I opened my mail today I found a hand written thank you note from the seller. This is my return thank you for a great product, but most of all for taking the time to wish me well. I see from the other reviews that they have also found that this filter gives us the ability to be creative and take better care of our homes and our health. And the thank you note reminded me how important it is to be kind and positive and grateful. And I am so glad that someone has decided to start a business with a product that really works. And for Amazon to let us all participate in the process. What an American idea!!!

Been using for 2 days, already tell a huge difference
I only realized a week ago that my air conditioner was what was causing my allergies to be so bad in my apartment. I have one of those built into the wall units (it looks like the ones that are usually in the window). It has a "filter" in it but it's an extremely thin one that I have to clean out regularly. I cleaned it out the day before I ordered this, and I came to amazon in search of a filter when I realized it did nothing. This was easy to install (just cut to the size of your filter). And I could tell a difference in less than a day. Normally I would have to shut off the air conditioner when I went to bed as I'd wake up horribly stuffed up and unable to go back to sleep. One night with this filter in, and other than an occasional sneeze (once or twice a day), I have no allergy problems. For those of you considering buying this, if your AC doesn't have a filter option other than the "clean and dry" mesh sieve mine has, I recommend getting this. I will hopefully remember to update exactly how long it took before I needed to replace it, but the packaging says every 3-6 months.

Charcoal filters.
They were supposed to be.I think 1.9 cm, but they were very thin.I was not impressed with the thickness. I have bought two point zero centimeters in the past and they were a lot thicker than this. There shouldn't have been that much of a difference.

multi-use filter
I needed a couple of filters that I wasn't sure existed, and this works well because I could just cut to size, secure with double sided tape, and have some left over to replace them when needed. I have a register in my dining room, and the opposite side of the box opens to a register in my workshop in the basement. It is an old house and the basement register looks like it was added later. It is very strange that I can look from my dining room to the basement, but the bigger issue is everything that was dropping from the dining room to the workshop - dog food, random pieces of stuff that the cat would bat around until it dropped into the register, dust, etc. It was gross. Since neither register is a newer, standard size, I could not find filters. I used this instead, because I could cut a piece for each register. If you are using this for a similar reason, make sure you set a calendar reminder to replace the filter, since if it gets clogged, it will affect the flow rate from your furnace and could cause maintenance issues if you let it go for too long.
