Q: I am 5'3" and weigh 100lbs (yes, I am a fully grown adult :-) Would this chair be a good choice for such a petite individual?

Ay I'm 5'2 and 100lbs! And an adult haha. Honestly I do have a bit of a bad back so it may not be the chair's fault, I've made do with having something rolled up behind my lumbar. There's not many options for us when it comes to "the perfect fit" kind of chair sadly. Overall it's a really quality chair though! I just have to take breaks to lay on the floor then resume. One thing to note is that the mesh back isnt plush so if you need something for your back to sink into maybe not this chair.

Q: does the seat tilt forward so your knees are lower than your hips?

No, it does not tilt forward. In fact I am glad that it doesn't.. I'm about 5'7" and with the chair at the highest level I sit very comfortably. My feet are flat on the floor and my knees are level with my hip. Of course, the chair can be lowered if needed. I"m really enjoying my chair! The back of the chair does "rock" forwards and backwards just a little if you'd like that, which I do, but you can stop that feature anytime by just pushing the lever in. I love that the arms fold back out of the way so the chair slides underneath my sewing table. I hope this helps you somewhat.
