APC is my favorite brand for battery backups
APC is my favorite of all brands of battery backups that I've tried. I've been using this particular brand for about 20 years. This particular model is the first that I've purchased where I don't have to connect the battery to any wires... The battery just slides right in. This APC is replacing a Cyberpower battery backup. Unlike Cyberpower, APC battery backups will actually tell you when their battery is dead. If you are considering which brand to go with, of the two, I highly advise against buying a Cyberpower and highly recommend going with APC. I had two Cyberpower battery backups just recently turn off on me when their batteries died, all the while showing me a full capacity battery indicator through its display and with its software. Unlike Cybepower, APC will actually tell you when your battery is dead and show you an accurate display of your battery capacity, without cutting power to your equipment. I can't tell you how important of a feature this is in a battery backup system. Buy APC.

APC did not honor the warranty, but Amazon did
Worked excellently until I got an F06 (AVR Relay Failure) about a year after purchase. Might have to do with the fact that this was used somewhere with terrible grid management. Unfortunately, APC is nearly impossible to contact, so they weren't able to honor the 3-year warranty. Fortunately for me, Amazon stepped up and offered a return for a refund outside of their regular return window as an alternative and I simply bought a replacement on Amazon.

Keeps the lights on! Well, anything plugged into it at least.
Just purchased my 2nd one a week ago. Great for keeping important devices running during a power outage. I use one on my internet modem, home router, and wireless network devices to keep my home lab functioning. The other UPS is connected to my main computer and server to prevent data loss during an outage. It works so well that I had to buy a 2nd one. Great value for the money!

Used these products for years, all over my home - hope this one lasts a long time.
I have these things all over my home due to power outages, surges, lightning strikes, etc. Unfortunately, the area was without power for a week (2024 hurricane) and my smaller unit started shutting down that manages some essential monitors, etc. This thing is very heavy and I was afraid when I read I had to remove a door/ batteries, etc. The good news is that the batteries were already connected and all I had to do was figure out how to open the door, remove the sticky labels, turn upside down and reinsert. I hope it lasts for many years. *I bought a generator for any future hurricane outages.

Failed Self Test - Replace Battery
I've had this UPS Back Up, for two weeks now, decided to check out the software download. After installing, I run the self test and it failed, a small window popped up on my monitor instructing me to contact the supplier to purchase a new $100.00 battery, or skip that and just buy another new one. I ran the test a couple more times, same results. I even tried resetting and restarting it a few times, it kept failing the test. I sent the Amazon third party supplier an email and got back some kind of automated case letter. So then I called Amazon, and they sent the supplier a second email. This time they reply requested my shipping address, so we gave it. Next, day I get a reply from them telling me their UPS website is down and they will contact me again when its working again. So, at this point I had enough and called Amazon back. This time I filed a claim for the return of my money. They told me I should see a refund within 5-7 business days. I guess the supplier will eventually get around to sending a return shipping label if the want their defective merchandise returned. After the fact, I found out this model had be discontinued, even thought they said noting in their sales ad on Amazon about that; And they're selling a new model for twice the price. Hopefully, it will be a better product.Note: This is my second review since I purchased two of these units and both now have failed the battery test. Owning two of these has revealed a pattern which anyone purchasing only one of these wouldn't notice. These unit come equipped with an USB cable which connects from the Battery Back-Up to a computer, software is then downloaded and the user is able to monitor the operation, and perform periodic battery tests. They call this software 'Power-Chute Personal Edition' During the battery test of both units I noticed there was a button for 'Replace Battery Date' I clicked on it and noticed a replacement date of 3/18/21, and 2/18/21 on the other unit. This means as of this date of writing these batteries are already 3 years old! And I've owned these units for a only a few weeks. This would mean the seller is using Amazon to sell off his old warehouse inventory of batteries which have expired dates. The proof is the age of the batteries in these brand new units when tested. This poses a problem because the batteries have an estimated life of 3 years. And both batteries have failed the battery test. In the software, the seller states, "We recommend that you change the battery in your unit at least once every 3 years." If you are one of the unfortunate ones who ended up with one of these defective units, simply contact Amazon Customer Service and explain in detail what has happened here. Even though this is a third-party seller, Amazons A-Z warranty will reimburse you in the event the seller does not refund you if you act within the 30 day warranty period. But, they may even extend the period due to the sellers deception. Finally, based on my own experience with this seller, this seller will try to get you to pay for return shipping, don't do it. If he wants his defective merchandise returned then let him ship you a free shipping label.

Simple, effective but annoying.
I have owned 3 APC systems over the past decade. The first died quickly and was replaced with my second one for free by APC. That unit lasted nearly 6 years and performed admirably. This unit, I've had for over a year now and it's worked nearly flawlessly. So why do I call it annoying? Because both times it's had an error it beeped super loud and it was a false alarm. Error claims to be non repairable, but simply turning it off and back on resets it and then it'll pass a self test with flying colors. Other than that, it's performed exactly as expected

Great product
Perfect!!! We have had three brownouts and this product handled them all. I have my Dell tower, two 32” monitors, two printers, seven external drives and our T-Mobile wireless internet router all wired to this UPS . Brownouts did nothing to these electronics - everything stayed fully operational.
