Hello, key is the indicator dot at the bottom of the dipstick. Upon inserting pool water and test reagent, move the dipstick up and down to stir the solution, the dot will fade based to the water's cloudy state, the reading will be expressed in ppm of cyanuric acid, best regards

Don't know what Taylor reactant is. This kit is designed to work with the pool water to measure stability. Kit will tell you if you need to add stabilizer or not.

Q: How many tests can this kit perform?

I don't know exactly, but I'm on my second kit now over many years. Only approx 1/2 the tube is filled with solution, the rest is your pool water ... so you can get a visual from the picture. Also, once you establish an acceptable level of Cyanuric Acid, you really don't have to test it very often... like every few months? Unless you have a leak in your pool or rain causes it to overflow frequently, CA doesn't evaporate so it should remain fairly constant in your pool.
