Bought for Lenovo L13
Annoyed I had to swap to a smaller lock when I got a new laptop as I had been using official Kensington locks for years. This one is streamlined and light and fits perfect. Hopefully it will deter the casual thief.

Expensive but does the job
Expensive but does the job intended, it just depends on how much you value your laptop. I personally prefer combination locks to keys as you might lose the key or forget it.

Doesn't work
I used the Kensington website to find a compatible lock for my laptop, (Asus ROG 14" Zephyrus) it gave this option, however it does not work, like others have said, it just comes out after it has been locked, the locking slot on the laptop is too deep for this lock, The depth of my locking slot is 8.2mm, the length of the locking mechanism 5.3mm, the width is ok, 7mm slot, lock expands to 7.4mm, so as you can now imagine because of the depth it just comes out when tilted. Kensington's fault, completely, they need to get their maths right.

Peace of Mind Anti-Theft Deterrent
This is a quality product and its price, indeed even I was surprised but I still think it's worth the money. The question I faced when I first ordered this product was whether any of my Laptops had the Kensington hook up and what does this look like? I simply looked in my Laptop owners manual checked the various diagrams and found a reference to this Kensington lock feature. I also measured the keyhole slot on my Laptop (just to be sure) which matched the required fitting dimensions. I was surprised that even my very old ACER Laptop from 2009 had the Kensington lock feature. So how well would this product protect a Laptop containing irreplaceable data or personal information? Well once tethered to a suitably large heavy object you would need nothing less than a bolt cutter as wire cutters or a hacksaw just isn't up to the job for a fast and silent getaway. The multi-core makeup of this flexible steel cable makes this quite resistant against a saw or wire cutters. The locking mechanism is really secure and the Laptop would be badly damaged if someone tried to forcibly remove the lock without the uniquely coded key. The suggested tethering to a heavy desk would be best through a desk cable management hole or less securely around a leg of the desk. There is a way to secure a non-Kensington compatible item under certain circumstances. Example: after tethering to a desk I threaded the cable through the sturdy handle of one of my Oscilloscopes which is sometimes used connected to my Laptop via the USB interface. I then inserted the Kensington locking mechanism into my Laptop. Since the Laptop can't pass through the handle of the Oscilloscope and the Laptop is securely tethered to the desk both items or multiple items daisy chained can be protected in a similar manner. The Laptop lock comes with a simple to understand instruction leaflet that has an important note detailing how to register your Keycode with Kensington. You really need to keep your keys safe (you get two Keys) because if you lose them and haven't registered your key codes well your Laptop isn't going anywhere soon. Overall this product would be a significant deterrent against theft but nothing is ever totally secure. However, If someone did manage to cut the tether they would still have the remnants of the locking mechanism fixed to the Laptop which would identify this as a stolen item if the thief was unable to remove it. I hope this brief review helps you to make an informative decision should you decide to purchase...

Amazon Warehouse's "Used - Very Good" had combination changed and couldn't be opened
I bought this through Amazon Warehouse - "Used - Very Good", and the combination had been changed so I couldn't open it. This should've been checked on Amazon's side. I recommend saving yourself the hassle and buying it new instead. Otherwise the product seems sturdy enough.
