Q: Is this good for rats? Like is it safe and good size for them to get in/eat?

I would assume so. Ours was for our Netherland dwarf rabbit. He fit in it fine!! He has it about halfway eaten now though. He used to lay in it.

It's the right size, but be aware it will get eaten!

Q: Where is this tunnel made?

the company is in Illinois. I am not sure where the toy is made as I have thrown away the wrapper a long time ago. My guinea pigs fit in this tunnel and like it a lot, but haven't chewed it up. they also have the large grass ball with holes in it, made by the same company. The love that ball and have finally chewed it up (I got it at Christmas) , so I ordered another one. When it comes I will look on the tag and see if it says where it's made and get back to you. in the meantime, here is the company contact info. they supply all those little grass toys to the petco, petsmart, pet shops. Q: Is this too big for a dwarf hamster?

I don't necessarily think that it's too big for a dwarf hamster. It would easily fit a normal sized guinea pig, so it just depends on how much room you want to give your hamster. Personally, I think that hamsters of any size would love this. This would be great if you're letting your hamster have time outside of it's cage; otherwise, I would think that it would be too big for a hamster cage. Great product!
