I've had three of these they work well once you understand how to set them up properly in the settingsAs well as the free kcharts which are fine so takes navioics an c map on a micro sd card

Boot up lock up. Well known issue with the manufacturer
Unboxed, powered up and unit locked up on the boot up screen, waited an hour and then powered down. Tried again, same.Looked on internet to find they have known the issue for some time and have issued a 'patch' which doesn't work, probably because there are different versions and without being able to boot up there is no way of knowing which version you have.I have little faith in the unit being able to safely guide me anywhere or reliability of AIS when they can't even get the units to boot up in the first place. Buy at your peril, mine is going back for a refund
