Voice activation stopped working after a month

A beautiful item, excellent accessories and fantastic when functional. However, just over a month in and the voice activation has completely stopped working. The motion sensor remains functional. However I now cannot open the lid and keep it open as the "Stay Open" voice command was the only way to do that. This is very unfortunate after such a short period of time when you pay for quality and reliability. This would be 5 star when functional, but without voice activation after such a short period it really does massively damage the entire purpose of buying a voice activated bin and one in which you can't even leave the lid open without physically stretching it open as you would when changing the bin bag.
