Froggys Fog - 400 Watt Halloween Fog Machine with Wired Remote Control, 400-Watt Fog Machine - All Metal, Great Output, Timer and Wireless Control Options

I was a little worried when I felt how light-weight it was, but this turned out to be a plus. It puts out plenty of fog for the average user. Testing it, I filled a large bedroom with thick fog with only two cycles (the amount of time to re-heat and put out another burst). I couldn't see across the room! Make a simple chiller to make eerie low-laying fog.(I used a large tin can with a hole at either end filled with ice, so the fog could go between the ice and get cool before exiting). Great price, great value.

Bought 2 of these, and right away the first one fired up and did a great job. The 2nd one didnt even warm up, after paying $10 to ship it back, they sent me a new one. This one worked for about 2 hours. Same thing the heater failed, on the day of the party. The quality of these machines is not consistant. and after paying $10 for shipping its not even worth trying to get another one. Id look for a better quality one.

I bought this thinking that it would add production value to lighting scenes for shooting movies... For that reason alone, this is great as it produces a nice, thick, diffiuse fog that does not stay on the ground and creates a nice smoky room to improve lighting... The only thing I was not aware of was that the volume of fog fluid used to create this smoke is much higher than I had anticipated. You need lots of fluid if you want to keep it running all night long or if you're in a place where the smoke will diffuse quickly out of the area and you'll need to have the machine on continuously. The box comes with a small bottle of fog fluid that really is good for one use... I don't think you can have the machine on with that much fluid continuously for too long... I went through it in less than one hour... (I don't know if this i normal or not as I have no previous experience with these types of machines)...again, for my purposes of creating just enough smoke to improve lighting, this is a great find at a great price.. but just wanted to share my impression that a lot more fog fluid is needed than I had though. Updated Information:For those who seem to be having problems with clogging and low output. All fog machines no matter what the cost are prone to clogs and require maintenance after use to prevent breakdown. I have stated in my review below that the included fog juice is not really ideal to use in your Venue fogger. Considering what these machines cost wholesale the manufacturers aren't going to include juice which can might cost more then the unit itself. If you hear the pump groaning or the output is low it's not getting enough juice or the juice is to thick and it should never be run dry.The problem is that most fog juice is made from Glycerin or Glycol which is very sticky by nature. So you use your machine then let it sit for an extended period afterwards and the residue begins to clog the unit. There are many tutorials and videos out there which explain exactly how to unclog. Hopefully this will save someone a few headaches and prevent others from having to return units that aren't actually defective.Original Review:I have used a few entry/consumer level fog machines and they all perform nearly the same. Some brands actually over state their true wattage to mislead buyers and have even admitted such. It will take nearly the same time to fill a larger venue no matter if you have 400w or 600w. Save a few bucks and get the Venue rather then paying for a brand that wont add performance value. Figure around 10-15 minutes 3-5 long bursts to fill a large room with thick fog. Stronger machines can fill a room quicker but they also produce a heavier initial cloud which may or may not be desired.With the Venue you get an auto switch where other brands in the same entry range are all manual control. Also they have a 450w version which is said to crank a bit more fog (two ultra's = better value + redundancy) for longer intervals. This unit however spits out fog for nearly a full minute once it has a chance to properly warm up. I have seen much more expensive units able to run for less that half the duration. So if you use the right juice mixture this unit will produce amazing results for the price.Check my review of Froggys Swamp Fog Juice Longest Lasting Fog Fluid - Gallon which needs to be diluted for use in the Venue but offers amazing hang time.Also you can extend the 6' remote cord using Belkin F3A102-06 AC Extension Power Cord (6-Feet) to make it 12' which may also work with some other machines.For the price you really can't go wrong unless your unit arrives DOA. It's as good if not better then any other in it's class and lighter then metal units. My only complaint (hard to complain for the price) is the included juice makes the machine perform poorly. Good enough to be sure the unit works or fog up your bedroom. But do consider buying quality fog juice which will provide much better performance. Not all juice is created equal and the cheap stuff will actually dissipate quicker costing you much more in the end. I can fill my entire 1800+ Sqft house with haze in about five minutes using just one of these machines.

I was impressed how much fog this little machine puts out. I set it up for Halloween and it covered the lawn with fog. Until it ran out of fog juice. I had gotten use to the larger fog machine I own and forgot to check the reservoir level in the Froggy machine. The result of it running out of fog juice killed the motor and it died. If you buy this one make sure you keep an eye on the reservoir and keep it topped up.

We found the machine was loud as it spit out fog. It also used a lot of product in a short period of time and we used the liquid fog it recommended.

The moment I opened the venue fog machine box I was surprised at the quality of this product, I was still very skeptical since the fog juice that came with the product alone is probably 6-7$ and 20$ for everything I wasn't expecting much but I was greatly mistaken. This machine produces a better than expected amount of fog and to my surprise it took about 1-2 minutes to warm up rather than the 5 minutes they talk about. The cords are longer than what I thought which makes it much more convenient in out of reach places. The overall thing to remember is that this machine is best for confined spaces, in wide-open areas its just not capable of keeping enough fog produced continuously, but for the price along with its capabilities so far no complaints.
