This bag has enough space inside to hold smaller fire-proof bags of documents and jewelry. That means those items have double layer protection.

One hopes to never, ever experience the devastation of a fire in your home (or really anywhere else), but with extremes of weather and natural disasters like floods and wildfires are becoming more prevalent these days. I've always been a bit paranoid about losing important documents in a fire or flood because they were not properly protected, and I had in the back of my mind getting a fire safe. The more I thought about it and researched, I saw how the really roomy and decent safes were rather expensive. Then I looked into fire resistant document bags, like the Cloey bag. The bag is quite sturdy and very roomy inside. I've packed it pretty full, and it is still light enough to carry with the nice shoulder strap it comes with. I tested the waterproof part by leaving it out in the recent rains. The documents i had inside were dry and safe.

I ordered two of these for myself and one as a Christmas gift for my daughter. The video on amazon.com shows a blow torch being directed onto the bag (rated to withstand 2,000 degrees F without damage) as well as it being submerged in water and the bag and contents were not damaged---2,000 degrees F seems to be the highest fireproofing available on such bags on the market. It is very well made with a strong double zipper to close the interior and then an outer flap with strong hook and loop for a two layer protection from fire and water. The company offered me a gift with the purchase (a small cash bag or lock to use locking the two zippers together) and I chose the cash bag). It comes with a strong shoulder strap that you can attach to the bag as well as having a handle on top of the bag for convenience in carrying or moving the bag. Since the bag is airtight when correctly closed I will use silica crystal packs to keep moisture or oxidation from ruining the contents I place in the bag. I intend to keep valuables and not just documents in these bags and I can order a lock to secure the two inner zippers together for additional security if needed in the future. This is a very good price for fire and water protection of valuables you keep at home. This is an excellent product and a good value for the money; I recommend it highly.

I had previously had my important papers in a very heavy portable carry safe, but its weight would certainly have been a hindrance in case of fire requiring a quick exit of our home. This fireproof document bag is light weight, roomy, supports 8 1/2 x 11 papers and has a shoulder strap which I think would be so helpful to free up your hands. Very glad I purchased this item and hope I never have to test its fire resistance!

I bought this because it is supposed to be Fireproof... So far it is holding up. I don't know how it would do through a fire and I pray I never will....
