Exceptional Performance and Value for Gamers and Creators
The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is hands down one of the best processors for its price range. With 6 cores and 12 threads, it handles everything I throw at it with ease, from gaming to productivity tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. The Zen 2 architecture provides excellent performance per watt, and I’ve noticed significant improvements in both speed and efficiency compared to my older CPU.Even under load, the included Wraith Stealth cooler does a good job of keeping temperatures in check, and it runs relatively quietly, though you could always upgrade to a more robust cooler if you're planning to overclock. Speaking of overclocking, the unlocked multiplier makes it easy to squeeze out extra performance if needed, though it performs impressively well at stock speeds. The Ryzen 5 3600 also shines in gaming, with excellent single-core performance, ensuring smooth frame rates even in demanding titles. It’s also future-proofed with AM4 socket compatibility, so you can pair it with a wide range of motherboards.Overall, this processor is a fantastic value for both gaming and multitasking, making it a go-to choice for anyone building a mid-range PC. Highly recommended.

Fantastic value, fantastic product. Very happy with this purchase.
Been eying this CPU for a long time and I'm very happy I settled on buying it finally. Works exactly as you'd expect, plays every esports title I've thrown at it with 200+ FPS and productivity/multithreaded applications I've used, while light workloads, work perfectly smooth as well. Zero issues so far. Gaming + streaming works perfectly with no performance hit whatsoever. Haven't tried editing with it, though. For someone who has only ever had low end computers, this is lightning fast and I couldn't be happier. My main complaints actually come from the included cooler; the instructions for installation don't give you 100% of the info you need to install it smoothly. I ended up having to take off the cooler from the CPU multiple times while trying to get the screws on because you can't just twist all 4 screws in 100% of the way at first. You have to twist all the screws in very lightly to get them all level, and then finish screwing them in after that, otherwise the cooler will be leaning too far in for the screws you haven't gotten to yet won't make contact with the motherboard. This might be obvious for experienced builders, but for a first time builder it's definitely not and isn't clearly stated in the instructions. Would have been nice to know, because making a mistake like that requires me to reapply my own thermal paste which is a hassle.Overall very happy with my purchase. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Great CPU for $200!
AMD has really done a great job in catching up and overtaking Intel. The Ryzen 5 3600 was, hands-down, the best budget CPU when I purchased it in 2020. For $200, this thing is an absolute powerhouse. This CPU will easily handle ANY games you throw at it, and can even stream at the same time without maxing out (at least from my experience). It ranks VERY well against its contemporaries (as long as you don't use UserBenchmark). It does run a bit hot, but the Wraith cooler that comes with it is enough to keep thermals within comfortable ranges. I use a 120mm AIO (which isn't the best CPU cooling method) and I rarely hit temperatures that exceed 75 while gaming. One thing I should definitely say now, in the era of Intel 11th-gen and AMD Ryzen 5000, this CPU is not worth it at prices above $200. The i5-10400 is running at $150-175. It may not be as good as the 3600, but it still is a good CPU and is much more affordable. Seeing this listing here that has the CPU at $240 is not good considering that we are in the era of Ryzen 5000 and Intel-11, AND Intel is tanking the prices of its 10th-generation processors.I am AMD all the way, but if AMD still wants to out-compete Intel in previous-generation sales, they will have to get competitive in the price area. If they do, then this CPU will definitely be a no-brainer buy for a budget builder since this CPU is still more than viable now.TL;DR - Worth it for $200 in 2020, not worth $240 in 2021 with the existence of Ryzen 5000 and Intel 11th-Gen. Still a very capable GPU for gamers. Would be more than worth it if price dropped to around $175.
