Had the information I was looking for to find the history of my luger

Excellent history of the early Lugers with useful information for distinguishing models and variations. Nice illustrations of Luger models and distinguishing features. However, beware of the illustration captions. In a number of instances the captions incorrectly identify the specific ordering of Lugers being depicted in the illustration or the side of an illustration in which a particular feature is being pointed out (e.g., p. 12, p. 21, p. 34, etc.)

Outstanding book perticulary for new collectors of early Lugers. Great color plate’s and plenty of technical information on the early years of a magnificent pistol.

Having some knowledge in this area, I found the image captions frequently switch "top" with "bottom" and "left" with "right" when referencing the pictured items. Had I not already known which item was which, this would have misinformed me.I also found numerous typos such as the name "Tauscher" (correct) in one paragraph and "Tauser" in very the next, both referring to Hans Tauscher.Enjoy the presentation and pick up details previously unknown to you, but do so with a degree of skepticism.
