Even with a very heavy lens, this Z Bracket was able to keep my camera in place at the various angles that I put it into. I figured it would be able to do so while attached to a tripod, but I was very impressed that it very easily stayed in place by itself. That is the reason I wanted to buy a Z Bracket, to put it on a desktop in any angle I needed, without needing a tripod. But I never believed a Z Bracket would be able to do that. So happy to be wrong! This really opens up the possibilities of where I can place my camera to shoot. Outstanding craftsmanship! Sturdy and strong, yet light enough to carry in camera bag, and small enough to fit in the bag without problem.My only complaint is that it comes with a very small Allen wrench that has to be used to secure the joints in place, but there is no place on the Z Bracket in which to store the wrench, and the wrench is so small it can be easily lost.Not a big deal, in fact, the Z Bracket doesn't need much tightening to hold the camera in place at all. But it would be nice to have the Allen wrench on hand if needed.Regardless, I love this Z Bracket and can't wait to use it often in my photography!

I recently bought this for my teams video kit as a table top mount for videography cameras. It worked out great for one of my guys this evening! One of the hardest things about productions with small stages is that there is very little room for normal tripods, so having a way to control a camera on a table top or other small surface really makes the difference. This mounting head has worked well with a smaller video recorder and a Black Magic pocket so far. Make sure to adjust the tightness of the z mount depending on the weight of the camera.

This is a great addition to my tripod. I use it to be able extend my video camera over a railing to get a better shot. It is very well made. I highly recommend it.

No. No me agradó; no se sostiene en mi 5d; apretar y aflojar los tornillos para lograr la posición deseada es super incómodo y toma demasiado tiempo valioso. No se sostiene en posiciones indicadas sino con trucos y aflojando y soltando un par de tornillos engorrosos.No la volveré a utilizar sino casos demasiado fijos.. no tendrá uso práctico en el campo, eventos de todo tipo. No cumple mis espectativas.... quizás si se agregaran tornillos con mariposas grandes que faciliten aflojar y ajustar. Pero así como está es una farsa
