I bought a filter for my old place years ago. It was great, no issues with it. The landlord replaced my faucet, then suddenly it wouldn't fit. Tried all of the nodules that came with it, but it wouldn't screw on. I ended up stashing it away hoping that I could use it again one day.Years later, moved to a new place. When to find the old filter and it was completely rusted. I was skeptical buying a new one because I didn't want to be disappointed if it didn't fit, but I took a chance and IT FITS! Love this water filter. I spent so much on bottled water every week (because I don't like the taste of our tap water), and now I can get the same filtered water from the faucet.I did have a little frustration with the installation. It seemed to have screwed on all the way, but after a few days it started leaking water from where it screwed in. I had to tighten it even tighter with a pair of plyers (carefully). Since tightening it, it doesn't really swivel like it used to. It's pretty stiff now, but it's manageable. It does the job well and I'm still saving tons on bottled water.Stay hydrated!

Replacement for a 5 year old Pur Water Filter. I ordered the black horizontal filter which I paid $8.00 extra for, what I got was a black vertical filter, that arrived unsealed, with 5 previous delivery labels to a customer in Minnesota, in addition to my shipping label. The box was not taped or sealed, I should be grateful it was closed, all the contents were in the box and it works flawlessly. I’m not requesting a replacement, this one works, in addition to it being a quick connect which will make it easier to keep clean. Enjoy the $8.00!

The Pur Filter was easy to install and worked well for the first filter and the second filter change. However, when we changed it for the third time and secured it the same as we did the first few times, it began spurting water everywhere at multiple points. We ensured that it was tight on our faucet and have tried to adjust it multiple times with no luck. For the first two weeks, the red light was blinking, indicating that it was not filtering and the filter needed to be changed (note the filter insert was brand new). After two weeks, the light began blinking green by itself and without any further adjustments, indicating that it should be filtering the water. However, it has continued to spew water from multiple points along the filter attachments, which soaks our floors and shirts in seconds, weakens the flow of water coming from the filter, and making us question, despite the blinking green light, whether it is actually filtering our water.Unfortunately, now we find this product highly disappointing, especially given that we need to know reliably that our water is filtered due to its high lead content. We trusted that this product would have reasonable longevity, especially since we have to purchase new filter inserts every few months anyway. Lack of clear warranty policies on this product are concerning and have made us very frustrated in determining how to go about trying to express grievances, get a refund, or a replacement offer for a faulty product.

Sometimes one must read the details before coming to conclusions and posting reviews on products. I was skeptical about this product since many of the reviews on here spoke about the filter not fitting their faucet, dripping, etc. The package comes with 3 attachments to use if the filter does not fit to your faucet alone. That's if the filter itself without any attachments does not fit. My filter fit my faucet without the need of those extra adapters. PUR also states that if neither the filter nor any of the adapters work, they will send you one that fits if you contact them. The filter also must be attached level to the faucet, gently but firmly to avoid any leakage. And it is a sink faucet filter so obviously if you attach it to any other faucet the dripping will be a problem. As far as the size goes, it's not too big for my sink and actually swivels around if attached properly to get out of the way. So far it is functioning well although I cannot yet comment on longevity as I've only used it for a few days. But so far the water tastes great and I would recommend this product.
