Rio Beach 7' Beach Umbrella with Integrated Sand Anchor, Multi Stripe

The first time we used it, a plastic piece inside the tilt feature broke. It was a windy day, so the top just flopped back and forth, so we couldn’t use it. We used electrical tape the next day, and it held nicely despite the wind. It was plenty of coverage for 2-3 people. I wish the tilt feature hadn’t broken, which is why I rated it lower, but it was very inexpensive.

I took this umbrella to the beach last week. The best features are the sand anchor and size (for maximum shade). It felt well-made and I expect it will last for a number of future beach trips. It wasn't overly heavy given its size and quality materials. We didn't experience heavy winds, but I think it would withstand the wind fairly well because of the sand anchor. Also, at under $30 it is reasonably priced. Our friends threw away their $15 umbrella and ordered this one before we headed home.The only negative is that it lacks a carrying case. That was OK because we put it in a wagon anyways. But it'd be nice for storage. I'd order this again.

It came packaged ok, Easy to set up ,I thought the handles would be easy to break when setting it into the sand. The sun protection is ok ,But I still got a little red and thats being in the shade under it for 5 hours. Other than that works as described and have no complaints.

Bought this for our summer vacation. It drives into the sand very easily with the corkscrew bottom and fold out handles. The tilt is nice to maintain shade for baby naps as the angle of the sun changes. The colors are pretty and I like the decorative scalloped edges of the fabric. It stands out enough from the other umbrellas to make it easy to spot from the water. It is light weight and easy to assemble. The storage bag could be better. I don’t anticipate it lasting terribly long, but that’s not a huge deal for me.

This umbrella is great. Reasonably priced. The screw on the bottom and the indicator of how deep to go make it super easy. Did fine in mild wind - I think it got up to 10mph that one day and it didn’t even flinch. Perfect for one person - could squeeze 2 people.

A little iffy in some ways. Some parts that are metal on my Tommy Bahama umbrella, like the tilt-pivot assembly, are plastic on this one. The umbrella are metal, not the sturdier fiberglass ribs on other brands.I like the Riochairs, but I'm not sure this umbrella will last.

We bought this to replace an older Rio umbrella. The colors are beautiful, but I wish it did not have the corkscrew bottom already attached. It is not large enough to really dig into the sand well and I would’ve liked to put one of the external screw bottoms on. The built-in corkscrew prevents you from adding any of the other sturdier bottoms. It got yanked out of the sand with the wind the first day we tried to use it.

Literally broke after 1 hour of use in normal beach wind. Wish I could get my money back.

We used our lovely umbrella when we were boating and had lunch on the beach. Stored well in the boat, andwas amazing. Sturdy, easy to use and lots of shade. Love the colours

Love the umbrella for the beach however the auger piece is terrible. Bent the first time and doesn’t grip well in the sand. Had to buy a better one at Dollarama.

Reasonably sturdy but still bent somewhat in a light wind. Colourful fabric.

Umbrellas are fine but plastic bag is really feeble.

The umbrella arrived in excellent condition, is easy to use and significantly cuts the heat of the sun on a hot day.
