Perfect companion for Macbook Pro with M4 Pro chip
I have used this cable for less than 24hrs so this review is not touching upon longevity of this product, it is merely to inform you that it does indeed work at 80Gbps and is therefore a true Thunderbolt 5 cable. My setup:- Apple M4 Pro chip Macbook Pro:Apple M4 Pro:Chipset Model: Apple M4 ProType: GPUBus: Built-InTotal Number of Cores: 20Vendor: Apple (0x106b)Metal Support: Metal 3Displays:Odyssey G95NC:Resolution: 7680 x 2160UI Looks like: 3840 x 1080 @ 120.00HzMain Display: YesMirror: OffOnline: YesRotation: SupportedAutomatically Adjust Brightness: No- Kensington SD5000T5 EQ Thunderbolt 5 Dock (** this product**):SD5000T5 EQ Thunderbolt 5 Dock:Vendor Name: KensingtonDevice Name: SD5000T5 EQ Thunderbolt 5 DockMode: USB4 v2Device ID: 0x8155Vendor ID: 0x47DDevice Revision: 0x3UID: xxxxxxxxxxxxRoute String: 1Firmware Version: 56.56Port (Upstream):Status: Device connectedLink Status: 0x2Speed: 80 Gb/s- Samsung Neo QLED Odyssey G95NC 57" 8K HDR Monitor (DisplayPort 2.1)- UGREEN USB C to DisplayPort 2.1 Cable 16K@30Hz 8K@120Hz 4K@240Hz Thunderbolt 5 Type C DP HDR VRR ALLM Lead Compatible for MacBook Pro/Air Mac Mini/Studio iMac iPad XPS Surface iPhone 16 Galaxy S25(2M)- CAKOBLE thunderbolt 5 cable,80Gbps data Compatible with apple thunderbolt 5 cable, thunderbolt 4 cable USB4,16K/8K@60Hz video,240w usb c cable for Type-C MacBooks, iPad Pro, Hub (3m)I purchased the 3 meter version of the CAKOBLE Thunderbolt 5 cable so I could connect my Apple Macbook Pro M4 Pro with Thunderbolt 5 to my Kensington SD5000T5 EQ Thunderbolt 5 Dock, which in turn drives my Samsung Neo QLED Odyssey GN95C 8K 57" Super Ultrawide HDR monitor.I am pleased to confirm that this combination of components worked perfectly. My monitor can support up to 240Hz but while I wasn't expecting this from the M4 Pro chip, it can drive 8K at 120Hz just fine, and as a bonus macOS Sequoia is even showing variable refresh rate (from 48Hz to 120Hz) so I get sharp text and smooth window management/page scrolling while having power efficiency that VRR offers.Nothing further to add, but if any of the above components become faulty I will be sure to come back and update this review.Regards,NotAnonymousReview

Works well with MacBook Pro M4 Max
I'm using this with a new MacBook Pro 16 M4 Max. So far it's worked better than I feared. I've not always had much luck with docks but this one has been reliable. The dock has one end plugged in to the Mac's Thunderbolt 5 port and in to the dock I've plugged an external SSD drive, a 40" Dell UltraSharp U4025QW 5K Curved Monitor and a StreamDeck controller. All work well. The SSD drive is a Thunderbolt 5 enclosure. Using it via the dock has reduced read speed by about 10% and write speed by about 20% - which is acceptable for a second drive.
