Good value installed in seconds. Screw slots are not super narrow which is good. They are wide enough for a regular screwdriver, you should use a hollow ground one but don’t need something exotic like you need for some rifle screws. By the way, clean receiver holes well with alcohol And use non-permanent lock tight. You do not want to crank these screws super hard because you could strip the threads. Just chimpanzee snug, not gorilla snug.

I have been hunting in vain for a scope mount for my Henry 30-30, the one piece mounts I've bought all had the wrong hole placements. Figured I'd give this a try...it worked great. Both holes on both pieces matched perfectly.

This base pair is on a Marlin .450 Marlin lever action rifle. The .450 Marlin is essentially the same as a .45-70. The mounts installed easily and I added a drop of purple thread lock to each mounting screw. With a scope on my rifle, these mounts have not come loose or shifted in any way under the heavy recoil of the rifle. The scope mounts lock into the notches well and the notches show no wear from the recoil. I recommend them if you are looking for a set of base mounts for any side eject lever action that will accept them. The next set is going on my .30-30!

Does exactly what its suppose to do on my 30-30 Marlin. Do clean your weapon really well where this is to be mounted and clean the screws, I used rubbing alcohol. Use lock tight on the base of the product and the mounting screws. This can be more of a pain than it seems to be, (when using lock tight) on the base of the product and aligning holes perfectly. I really took my time with this part to ensure my Scope stays really stable. I recommend this product. What a difference with a nice scope mounted. WOW. If you don't use a locktight blue, under your brackets and you bracket screws, your scope can move after each shot. It can be difficult to use the blue locktight and align the brackets perfect, be patient and clean screws and everything before your next atempt.

What’s not to like going on a marlin .30-30,after I put a set on a marlin .45-70 previously so I know they’re sturdy while also light weight.
