Phoxinus Heat Shrink Tube. Transparent or Black. In various lengths and diameters

Bought this to secure two thin silicone covered wires as part of a homemade loom.I bought the 3mm diameter thinking it would be more than big enough for the gauge of wire I had.I found I could only push the two wires in a little bit before they stuck.I even put the tubing in the fridge for a while to make it stiffer and hopefully keep it at the max diameter.I ended up having to thread a single wire through, solder one end to the two wires and then pull them through!Fiddly to say the least.It does however shrink well.Personally I'd prefer 4mm if I was to do that particular job again but this item doesn't go that wide.Should maybe advise on the advert that silicone (therefore more flexible wiring) may not be best suited.

Too wide the first lot I ordered. This time ordered 2/3mm and it's more like 2-3mm wide instead so doesn't shrink small enough to be tight on any of my knots. Maybe it shrinks down to 2/3mm.
