When you open the box the smell of cedar wafts out. They're labeled left and right. I immediately inserted them into a pair of Thursday boots and they fit great and filled the toe box just so. The rope at the back does, in fact, ease removing them from boots. I purchased a pair of cedar shoe trees, for boots, that are tall. Now that I've tried these, I don't know which I like better. If you're looking for a quality shoe tree, at a fair price, you can't go wrong with these.

Product delivered on time and as expected. Sizing runs slightly small for my needs. I use the shoe trees for athletic shoes where I expect the spring loading to provide a tight fit and to keep the shoes stretched across the ball of the foot. As a size 13, I recommend the XXL for that reason.

I like the fit. I have size 12 shoes and bought extra large, (I think that was recommended). Anyway, They fit nice. The quality of the wood and how it was put together is good. I wanted to keep my dress shoes fit to form, plus make it easier to polish my shoes when the leather is stretched and smooth. These shoe trees do this adequately. For the money they are a good value. If I buy more dress shoes I wouldn't hesitate to buy these shoe trees again!

Great build quality and wonderful cedar smell. I wear a size 13 shoe, but my feet are juuuuust a smidge wider than normal and could probably fit most comfortably in a 13.5... but that's not a very common size to find. So I stick with 13s most of the time. I ordered the XXL and it fits all of my shoes and provides plenty of tension to keep them nice and stretched out the way my foot left the leather from the day's wear.Now when I put my shoes back on the next time I wear them, they time to stretch to my foot is almost negligible. Plus my shoes smell not-so-funky.Great purchase, especially for the price.

Updated Review: I have now purchased about 10 of these for all my shoes because of the quality. These are really awesome. Any time I purchase a pair of shoes, I immediately go to amazon and purchase another pair of Cedar FootFitters. They are excellent and I cannot recommend them highly enough.Original Review: I bought a pair of these to test the waters to see for myself pertaining to the quality, fit, etc. I am a tried and true size 10.5. I purchased the Men's Large (10W-11.5) and they fit perfectly and the quality was outstanding. Since then, I have purchased 4 additional pairs of the same cedar shoe trees and they fit all 4 pairs of shoes perfectly. The smell of the cedar is nice and I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Go for it - you won't be disappointed.
