Gaming Is Absolutely 🔥 on This OLED Beast!
I’m writing this just days after setting up my Samsung S90D 65” OLED TV (purchased May 2025), and all I can say is—WOW. I am very happy with this purchase. The picture quality is jaw-dropping. Deep blacks, vibrant colors, and razor-sharp clarity make everything look incredible, whether it’s movies, sports, or streaming. But where this TV really shines for me is gaming—it is so freaking awesome! With Motion Xcelerator 144Hz and near-instant response times, gameplay is buttery smooth and totally immersive. It makes my PS5 and PC games look next-level.The Dolby Atmos sound and Object Tracking Audio are also surprisingly good for built-in speakers—it feels like the action is all around you.Setup was quick, the interface is snappy, and the AI upscaling even makes older content look fresh. Easily one of the best tech purchases I’ve made recently.

Awesome TV for PS5 Pro
This was recommended by a consumer ratings website as a good match for the PS5 Pro. I could not agree more. The picture quality is amazing, and it elevates the gaming experience with a console that can take advantage of it. The screen is bright, sharp, and simply beautiful for gaming.Beyond that, I am not that excited about the 'Smart TV' functionality from Samsung. Most of my other TVs are Vizio. I prefer the 'smart tv' experience from Vizio over this one. If you use an external device for that functionality, it likely won't matter as much. The sound quality is better than any flat panel TV I have ever owned. There is no need for a stereo soundbar. If you're looking for surround sound, you will need an external soundbar/subwoofer. But, for gaming and TV shows, this has performed admirably for me.

Update on samsung tv do not buy worst tv ever.
Really take a good look at the specs. If possible find it in store and compare. I went by Rating review that it was the best mid priced tv on the market. Not sure how they reached that conclusion. Never had a TV that was so complicated to operate. The picture is good but lacks dolby vision and HDR10. Sounds minor but the remote control is a real piece of junk leaving you with the wife screaming at you that you should have went and tested one out before buying. Sure miss my old tv. After using or trying to use this for over month I cross my finger every time I turn on this thing. I have never had such a hyped up useless tv. Lucky if it even turns on or if I have to unplug and replug it in just to start it up and then go through even more fun and games. I don't think I have ever given a review that I had nothing good to say about it but this is one. This is probably the most screwed up interface that could have been engineered. Makes no sense what so ever. I have a really good soundbar that from one day to the next the tv doesn't recognize. The sound options limited dolby atmos only no dts. No dolby vision which does smooth things out. Already trying to figure out how to get rid of it take a beating and lesson learned. Disappointment is not a strong enough word should allow a zero star rating.

S90D is a dream, even more outstanding dialed in.
The media could not be loaded. Great tv with very accurate color and crisp image. If you set your settings to the following, you’ll be blown away; most can be found in Pictures / Expert Settings.Color Tone: "Warm2” for a more accurate and natural color temperature. Color Space: "Auto’ works well for different situations. Color Booster and Contrast Enhancer: left “OFF”; no need and will throw off color accuracy IMO. Peak brightness: set to “high”. Picture Clarity: to Auto’. Power and Energy Saving:OFF so you won’t get any unwanted dimming. Lastly, when you’re streaming a movie, change “HDR Tone Mapping”: to “Static”, to finish off settings. You’ll get crazy accurate colors and a solid picture with absolutely no blooming. Jaw dropping. Can be viewed from any wide angle without losing quality or brightness at all. This was very important to me and weighed on my deciding factor. There is no darkening of the screen and no green tint when looking from the side, as when I do occasionally watch TV at an angle from the kitchen while cooking. I’m very satisfied. QD OLED has notably brighter color volume, better gradients than WOLED panels, and doesn’t suffer at all from these issues that WOLED panels do.I found ‘Filmmaker Mode’ and ‘Movie Mode’ the best picture modes. Choose what you think is best between the two. I set mine to Filmmaker mode 24/7, for colors as the director intended.Watching scenes with deep dark blacks is no issue for the S90D. I watched ‘Venom - The Last Dance’ which had killer inky blacks with no crushing. The S90D handles dark scenes superbly. Those that are wondering if not having Dolby Vision makes a difference, I can tell you it does not IMO. I watched ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ in Dolby Vision played in HDR, and tone mapping was done brilliantly, still providing life-like vivid clarity and a stunningly radiant picture. I’m going to be just fine without DV :) On high-end TVs such as the S90D, it’s a moot point it’s HDR quality is so good. I don’t own Blu-ray media. I stream and watch HDR cable content.HDR10+ content is as good as DV in its own right. I watched “Borderlands” which was 3D like, eye-popping color. Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, AppleTV and Paramount+ now support HDR10+ to name some I know. Disney just announced they are also starting.Dolby Atmos enabled works great. The S90D gets pretty loud without distortion, and voices are never buried. I was really impressed with the sound’s presence and volume. Even has a little bass! The Samsung Tizen OS isn’t perfect, but it’s customizable to your preferences. It’s not invasive of your privacy, with no forced pop-up ads or solicitations while you watch tv or search for channels. Navigating through the Samsung Tizen OS is rather simple to learn.I bought an Xbox controller and through Tizen ‘Game Hub’ , tried a subscription of ‘Xbox Ultimate Game Pass’, without a console. It is super fun. I played games like Halo, Battlefield 4, and Forza 5, to name a few. The games are fluid with no stutter at all and look amazing! It is a lot of fun by just adding a game controller. What an awesome value if you don’t own a console to be able to game on the S90D. It does it so well and is console-free.I thought it was an easy setup from start to finish. I’m very happy with this absolutely gorgeous TV. :)I did add a 3-year Asurion Insurance protection to cover myself from any QC issues that may arise and suggest you do so on ANY TV at this price point, for peace of mind and just enjoy. :D

Gorgeous
Gorgeous and fantastic picture quality. One annoying thing is it goes to sleep within like 30 seconds of inactivity.

Amazing for Gamers
I purchased the 65" OLED. I wasn't prepared for how amazing the screen would look. It's my first OLED tv. My main reason for going with an OLED was for gaming. Between the higher refresh rate (than my previous tv) and the way "black" pixes are handled with OLEDs...I've had perfect gaming experiences. One complaint, that I won't ding the tv for, is how much heat it puts out. I have mine in the bedroom. It's like a little heater. I always feel the need to turn on the fan or open windows to compensate. It's worth it for that amazing screen.I would definately suggest using two people to set it up. It's not heavy. It's just an awqward weight. I've never been more afraid of breaking a tv...just for moving it. It is crazy thin at the top.
