These small drinks are specifically designed for a particular purpose, which is to provide an energy-dense and protein-dense nutritionally complete supplement mainly for individuals who have specific medical needs. For example, the elderly or people recovering from illness or going though illness, and as such presumably unable to eat proper meals. There are specific medical instructions available, which everyone interested in this should become acquainted with.I have experience of similar type of drinks in the past, but it was a brand available from supermarkets, for a family member losing weight due to illness. I can see how these Fortisip drinks would serve a similar purpose.They have a fairly pleasant, albeit very sweet, strawberry flavour. The texture is very smooth and slightly medicinal, making them easy to drink.

A very nutritious source of vitamins providing A, C, D, E, a comprehensive range of Vitamin B and minerals including Iron, Zinc and Calcium which is essentials for healthy living.It's great tasting with good flavour providing 18 grams of protein and only 306 calories in a very small ergonomic bottle of 125ml.The drink is a little thick, viscous like drinking yougurt.Please pay attention to the safety information and directions to get the best out of this.

Well what I did not know when I ordered this was that it is a self-described "Food for special medical purposes. For the dietary management of disease related malnutrition" It also states "Must be used under medical supervision".Forgive me, I did not know this I thought it was either are pro-biotic style drink or just a protein/energy drink. I have tried one of the bottles in the name of giving an honest review, but the medical circumstances do not apply to me I must confess.The bottles are small at 125ml and the liquid is thick. It does have a vague strawberry kind of taste to it, but doesn't taste fantastic. The good news thought is that because the liquid is thick and the bottles are small then this entire bottle will go down in two or three gulps for the average adult I reckon, not sure about kids but it shouldn't be much more given that the bottle is just 125ml as mentioned.As far as health benefits go I do not know, it is too early to tell and frankly I'm not sure just 4 bottles would make a massive difference anyway, it might be the kind of thing that you need to take a regiment of rather than the odd bottle here and there to make much difference. But what do I know? I didn't even know the full extent of the product I ordered (sorry again)! One thing I would say is that I have had no adverse effects from taking it as someone without any major health issues right now (touch wood!).

Obviously the product is very good and beneficial.But it is too costly for me to buy weekly.I mean,just 4 small bottles for almost 16 pounds? This is not a good bargain.
