This was a great way to help me place my Christmas lights where I wanted and not where the socket was.This extended the length by 10m. It was easy to polug in and worked straight away.A1 Product.

I chose this lead as the photos and images showed a cable that was thicker than its competitors. Unfortunately when it arrived it was no better than the rest. Yes, the description states 24swg and that is what the grade of cable that has been used is, but in use I would not be confident of its durability.So the good points. The connectors are made of a sort of rubberised plastic material. This makes dealing with a slightly snug fit easy to deal with by just a gentle squeeze. I have no doubt they will meet their IP65 rating. In short, the connectors are brilliant.Both the plug and socket fitted my Twinkly lights without issue.The bad point is the cable that has used. This lead is over 30’ in length and is going to be put up and taken down during the UK winter. The cable gave me no confidence that it will last. The core (24swg) is light and the outer sheath matches. Other leads I have purchased use 2 x 0.5mm conductors and a thicker outer. This results in lower electrical losses and a sturdier item. So it’s sadly a case of great connectors being let down by cheap cable.

Nice long cable fitted well, apparently very tasty and flavoursome if your a fox! Probably not a good idea to make chicken flavoured cables.
