I actually use this on the front of my truck instead of on the back like it said it is for but it works just fine on the front too. I actually mounted this to a light bar mount just to have a little bit of extra added Pizzazz or when I put my decorative plate on the front and throw my light bar on the front and it worked out perfectly. This thing is basically kind of like a shield or brace almost for either a license plate or a decorative plate and basically just keep the nicer longer. This thing arrived on time and well packaged and all the parts in the Box and it's pretty easy to assemble depending on which of the parts that you use and the package you could probably have it assembled in about 5 or 10 minutes and is actually pretty simple you got a couple screws them out the mount to the car and then you have a couple of screws that mount your decorative plate to the mount and that's pretty much just that you pop the little nuts in the squares on the back and then the rest of them you use to pop the mount onto the car and that's it. Overall if you need a little bit of a thing to give you some cushion there for a nice decorative plate or a license plate just to give a better more Pizzazz look this thing is well worth it

This frame adds more than an inch to the height and length of your plate so if you're crammed for space this may not be for you. I had to cut out the bezel for both my backup camera and magnetic charger cable to fit. I also needed gloss black so spent an extra 2 hours sanding and polishing it. It is otherwise made from quality plastic and quite rigid. The holes for bolting the frame to the car didn't line up for the rear of my European car.

I wanted the most minimal edge around my license plate and this frame worked, delivering a clean thin black edge around the plate. They offer these unique screws and bolts with tools to put them on, that will clearly prevent plate theft. The plate works great on the front bumper where there is a unlimited upper and lower clearance, but on the back the plate is below a ledge where the plate lighting is located and the frame would not fit on the back; not a big deal for us because I wanted it for the front anyway. The black is strong thick plastic that is clearly strong and durable.

Ok right off the bat, this is a single unit. Its does clearly say its a rear plate holder but it shows 2 in the same picture and uses the term 2 in 1 which may make you believe it is a 2 piece unit.In terms of installation, I actually found it a little difficult and had to get my husband to do this one for me, but to the front of our Mini Cooper. It uses a unique screwing system which I think it to deter people from stealing it, which from first hand experience is annoying. It comes with a unique Allen key but does require a drill to install.It unfortunately doesn't have a cover which I think a premium holder should maybe have and the design is very simple.All in all though it is a good product. It is sturdy and neat looking on the car and is a secure version than the regular licence plate holder. I just for the price it should have included 2 or charge a little more and include 2.

I was able to use these screws with another mount I got. It's probably worth mentioning that I don't think this was actually meant for my model as I have a 2005 325ci and did not notice at the time I ordered that this was not in fact a model listed as compatible by the seller. I imagine the holes on my bumper would probably line up just fine if it had been.As far as the part quality, this seems like a very sturdy part. Wish it had worked for my vehicle. Just be sure you check your compatibility first, as this does not in fact cover the older model E46 3-series, but should probably work for newer applications.

My rear hatch was damaged in an accident and the body shop reinstalled my old bent frame. I decided to give this a shot as a replacement.The holes all lined up perfectly, and both the inner/outer screws worked perfectly. The frame itself fit with no issues. My standard state license plate also aligned and fit well.I wish there was a bit of a nicer looking option to mount the screws to the license plate, such as the small plastic caps some kits come with. But I can always add those later.Excuse the dirty car and popped out reverse camera in the photos!

I was eager to try this out on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, but it didn't fit. The lip is too high past the screw holes and there was no way to make it work as it comes. I was disappointed because the build quality seems good and it's a good-looking plate holder. Make sure to measure for your car.

Even though the product description lists a 2007 mini Cooper as compatible for this plate holder, I can tell you that it is not: the pre-drilled holes don't align with that year's make/model and I couldn't attach it. I don't have any after-market modifications to my mini, so I just think the product description is wrong. Disappointing.
