Q: What am i doing wrong. i've scratched on the stone jewelry i know is sterling and jewelry that i know is not? no creamy white, red or green.

Certain pcs can be marked Sterling but only be plated. I took one that was doing the same to a jeweler and they told me it was plated not true solid Sterling which is why the test didn't show it was real.
