This puzzle is a traditional jigsaw cut wood puzzle. I love the wood puzzles because there's no cardboard puzzle dust. The colors are beautiful and it looks just like the pictures in the listing. There are letters on the back to help if you want to use them. It took us about 8 hours in total to put the puzzle together. Good for beginner to intermediate level puzzle players.

Update 01/24 -- Raising this one star. We liked the picture so much we did it a second time. This time of course all the pieces were cleanly apart to start and they went together smoother. Ended up framing it - 20x30 frame -- and hanging it on the wall. Didn't require any jigsaw glue as the pieces are thick and stiff and don't come apart easily. First time we've ever done that for a jigsaw puzzle.Maybe we've been spoiled as the last two puzzles we completed were from premium brands so this one disappointed a bit.The printing is good quality with a nice textured effect. And it's nice to get a bag for the pieces and a poster of what you're trying assemble. BUT the pieces themselves are a bit rough cut, not most, but enough to notice. They're supposedly made of something called 'basswood.' Maybe that's just the nature of this material.Note that this is a challenging puzzle. To help, the back of the pieces have letter telling you what area they fit, but not all the pieces have these letters.Overall we had fun doing it and really like the picture but given the premium price the quality could be better.

Pieces fit snugly, and it's a great picture. My daughter likes it framed in her room.

I got this wooden puzzle because of the beautiful vibrantly colored artwork and the fact that it was 1,000 pieces. It arrived in a nice slide out box with all the pieces in a pretty purple organza bag. When I took the pieces out of the bag, there were some that had a few pieces still attached together. Also a couple had jagged edges and there was definitely some wood dust, but I cleaned that up quickly with a sticky roller.We tried not using the letters on the back of the puzzle pieces, but it was too difficult, so we relented. Some of the pieces got placed in the wrong spots, so it helped looking at the back to see which ones were wrong. My daughter and I worked on the puzzle for 2 days and finished it. She is definitely better at it than I am!This is my first wooden puzzle purchase and I definitely like it better than the cheap cardboard ones. I also love that it included a full size poster as we referred to it often. I posted a pic of the top half poster with the bottom half puzzle and you can see how closely they match. Overall, a beautiful puzzle that was fun to complete!

The media could not be loaded.  I requested to exchange the puzzle with the hopes that the pieces come not broken and separated as expected. The box is perfectly fine so that means the pieces were broken during the making process and not cut correctly during the making process.
