A Beautiful and Addictive Tile-Laying Game!
Azul is hands-down one of the most elegant and satisfying board games I’ve played. The game is easy to learn but has enough strategic depth to keep it interesting for both casual and experienced players. The components are stunning—chunky, colorful tiles that feel great in your hands, and a beautifully designed board that really pops on the table.Gameplay is smooth and quick, usually wrapping up in 30–45 minutes. It’s a perfect mix of planning, pattern recognition, and a bit of player interaction (especially when you start drafting tiles just to mess with your opponents). It works well with 2 to 4 players, though it really shines with 3 or 4.If you enjoy games like Splendor or Sagrada, you’ll love Azul. It’s become a staple in our game night rotation. Highly recommend!

Really fun game!
Really fun and game - I’ve already bought another as a gift for a friend!Game is simple to understand once you play a round or two, but not so simple that it gets boring. Usually play with 2 people and I like that you can use the back side of the boards for harder gameplay. Lots of strategy and a little bit of luck.

Fun game and good quality!
Azul is a fun game and I’ve loved learning different strategies to win. It is very good quality and I appreciate that the tiles come with a bag to keep them from getting lost. If you like games that require strategy but also a little bit of luck this is a good game for you!

We love this game.
So fun and easy to pack away and clean up and store. This did not seem like the game for me but we love it. Definitely would be difficult for younger kids.

Unique Game
We have only played this a couple times so far, but I do enjoy it. The rules are a bit complex to understand at first--I don't think we played it 100% correctly the first time. My elder parents didn't care for the game because they require more simplistic games at this point. I think it may take us a couple more times to get comfortable with some of the rules we accidentally ignored the first time. I am picky about the types of games I like and this qualifies as my kind of game. My partner prefers games more historically grounded with purpose and he says this game qualifies to some extent, making it a game we can both enjoy. Our son is on the fence, but I think he will come around once he starts having more success like he does in chess. The basic gameplay isn't hard, but the scoring and some of the strategy based on that is where it is more complex. Also, I am an infrequent game player, although we have quite a few, so take this from the perspective of a casual, picky game player.
