Worked great on AllStarLink 3, using a RPi Zero 2 W

The RPi Zero 2 W does support 64bit, so the image burned fine and works. As other reviewers have mentioned, you can use the Windows utility, but I preferred to use the Linux utility.First you'll need to install Git, and then from the repo that has the Windows utility, skip that one and find the one that it's forked from. The Windows repo does have a python script to update the unit, but the 'version' command fails. The updated script in the original (forked) repo works fantastic, and has good documentation.I mistakenly thought that when I transmitted, I'd see an LED go on, but that's not turned on by default, so just use the parrot method mentioned by another reviewer.

Works well on Linux running HamViop

I used this to build a GMRS AllStar Node. My callsign is WSHS647 , Node 11940 linked to hub 7000It works well. I am waiting to hear from the vendor regarding the power output. I would like to use a baofeng AMP-U25D with this to give my node a range of a 20 mile radius.

Great for GMRS Live

I bought this to use with a raspberry pi 4 that has gmrs live installed. The device works flawlessly and was easy to configure with the help of a youtube video. I did replace the included antenna with one that was specifically tuned for gmrs.Make sure you don't try to program the device when it’s not in programing mode or you’re going to mess up the os on the pi and have to reflash the os for the pi.This worked perfectly for my needs and I would buy it again.

only works with included usb C cable, flip plug over for sa818 or cmedia

not a bad implementation of the sa818 transceiver. i have succesfully got this to work with allstarlink and fldigi on a debian linux box and pi-zero-2w. i'm valid on qrz, my call is always finding 6 more questions, hmu if you want the details.the most important part and why im writing this review, is the cable. the USB C cable that comes with the unit is the only cable that works with this. plug the usb A side into your computer, and pay attention which way you plug in to the radio. usb C cable can be "flipped over", it fits either way. but one way gets you a serial port to the sa818 chip so you can set the frequencies, flip it over and then you get the c-media sound card to use the radio. ive tried many other usb C cables and they get nothing shows up to the computer. read that again, the included short white usbA-usbC cable is the only cable it will work with. plug it in one way to talk to the sa818, flip it over to talk to the cmedia chip. i'm going to open one up and see if i can't hardwire both the ports to separate cables, this is why the shari pi-hat version has 2 usb jacks. i put a sharpie mark on the plug end one side and matching mark on the unit so i know which way the cable needs to go for use vs programming.i got 2 of these. they will program and work on VHF also, but the harmonic distortion is terrible with the included antenna. there is NO OUTPUT FILTERING so be carefull what frequency you use, the harmonics are huge even at the 1/8 watt it puts out. dirty like a baofeng, but worth the mud for pure simplicity.nice way to get onto allstarlink around the house and neighborhood, or a portable fldigi unit. will do some tests on our local repeater fldigi-net, if it can hit it.minus one star for no filtering on the output, and minus one star for no mention of the cable flip-over and can't use regular usb C cables. wtf do i do if i loose the cable? it must be using the "extra" serial lines but who makes cables that use those lines?edit: update, i figured out the cable. normal USB-C plugs have the D+/D- connected to both sides (top and bottom) of the connector. the cable that came with the unit is the only cable that works with it because the D+/D- are only connected to one side. so if you use a normal C cable it connects D+/D- to both the sa818 and the cm chip at the same time so neither negotiates and connects.

Must be programmed

I use this product to link to a network hub, the program and directions is kind of vague, but online resources is a huge help.As far as the product, it works well, I have 2 acres at my house, and I can hit the arsenic radio anywhere on the 2 acres

Update your directions!!!!!

The directions suck! The web links don’t work.I will update once I actually find a website with the correct downloads to operate.

Failed after a few days on/off use

Initial setup using the guidance in the Amazon reviews was eventually possible where the AURSINC product worked as advertised. Notable is that selection of the Pi's power supply drives if there is AC hum in the audio. That said after three days of on/off use the AURSINC hardware refuses to power on.
