I use this product to link to a network hub, the program and directions is kind of vague, but online resources is a huge help.As far as the product, it works well, I have 2 acres at my house, and I can hit the arsenic radio anywhere on the 2 acres

Pretty much worked right out of the box, easy to configure. Seems very stable. Plugged it into a Pi and off to allstarlink world it was. If you never configured Allstar before this is one of the easiest ways to start. Ordering a second one for the car

Its a very small package. Came in a box about the size of two packs of Marlboros, zero instructions (use the description on Amazon). Was fairly easy to program and integrate with HamVOIP. The only issue I had was that the USB cable that came with it had an intermittent in it, so I fought getting it to go into operating mode. I only figured this out after bumping it and the audio test tone from the pi started coming through. Replaced the cable with a good quality shielded one and it worked fine. Just follow the instructions to program it. Had to figure out the COS and PTT polarities in simple-usb on HamVOIP, but that was pretty straightforward. Been using it pretty heavily for a few days and it seems to get slightly warm but that is it. Gave 4 stars because of the cable, but I would have switched it to the one I used anyway to get it away from the pi.

Set this up for gmrs hotsopt. It works pretty well, has a few hundred foot range with a different antenna but the stock one isn't bad either. Programmed with provided cable and use to talk to raspberry pi for tx. I may purchase another for a new node I'm considering building.

I purchased 2 of these and watched the videos online on how to use them I even tried different usb cables and tried the cable in both directions and could not even get it to program even before trying to use it to this day I still have them just sitting in a drawer none of my friends could get them to work either
