DEWALT20V MAX Cordless Impact Wrench, 1/2 Impact Gun, High Torque with Hog Ring Anvil, Tool Only (DCF900B)

This has over exceeded what I was hoping for. It has never failed me yet has worked on every job I have used it at and great battery power. It is not to big but has huge power. Is dwalt so you know great quality. It is so fast and powerful watch how hard you push the button.

Good tool with plenty of power for occasional home use

Forward. Reverse. Don't matter.With a DEWALT 8AH battery pack on power setting #2, this thing unscrews 22mm wheel nuts and 21mm caliper bracket bolts very easily, even the ones with orange Loctite.Power setting #3 it's overkill most of the times to tighten anything and unscrews anything violently.Don't get distracted or this thing it's going to smack you and your wrist HARD. 😂The built-in LED lamp emits enough light to see everything in front of the wrench in the dark.The variable speed trigger it's a must have on ANY impact wrench and here it works flawlessly.The pistol grip feels good on a bare, oily, dirty hand but much better and safer (stronger grip) with leather or rubber gloves on, as you should be equipped to begin with before start using this tool.**********************************************************************************************************************The Bad:It's heavy. DEWALT claims 7lbs w/o battery.If you're planning on using it for extended periods of time and if you slap a big 8AH battery pack like a did, it's just going to get worse. Not a problem for me as I went in knowing that.Under prolonged heavy use you WILL physically destroy your batteries.The high power and the resulting vibrations are a double edged sword.I try to minimize the problem by grabbing the battery with one of my hands when using the wrench.DEWALT does not make the battery bumper, a.k.a BATTERYGUARD(TM) standard equipment, however, they'll be happy to sell it to you as an extra.That tells you that they know there's a problem but feel it's not critical enough yet to hurt their sales and tarnish their name. Time will tell.Don't trust the PRECISION WRENCH(TM) mode, use your own hand feel judgement and experience and you'll be better off. I tried it, then went over it with a manual wrench to assert my suspicions and felt it was way off when it came to applying the correct amounts of torque on different fastener types and sizes.The "run off prevention on reverse" feature did work as advertised but I see it more as gimmick than a true helping feature. JMHO.*******************************************************************************************************************Final Thoughts:If you need a powerful and reliable cordless impact wrench, be it at home and even at the shop, you won't be disappointed with this one.👍

The DeWalt DCF900B is an absolute beast.it makes removing stubborn bolts and lug nuts feel effortless. It’s built tough, has a solid grip, and the variable speed trigger gives great control. The built-in LED light is super handy in low-light spots, and the battery protection feature is a nice bonus.It is a bit heavy, so not ideal for long overhead jobs, and it’s onFor the price it's amazing

This impact gun has plenty of torque. Works well for automotive and around house.It is slightly heavy but to be expected for this gun. I use 8mh battery with this as smaller battery will run out of power quickly. Good impact gun for price.

Used this all day yesterday replacing shocks, s struts and springs on my kids used car we just bought, not to mention, of course, the wheels and it ran incredibly well. It sure beats my pneumatic one and listening to the compressor turning on and off all day and hauling the house all around.

Impact was stronger than expected. It broke an impact socket on its first use. I was extremely surprised by the power would recommend to anyone

I've been working on cars for a few decades now and own many Air Tools.Generally Air Tools are lighter and smaller than their battery powered counterparts which make them easier to handle and helps with getting in tight spots. Also it operated very smoothly and I barely noticed the impacting when in use.I purchased the Dewalt DCF900 Cordless Impact Wrench for when Winter comes and the cold weather makes my Air Compressor difficult to start. Instead of heating up the Garage to get the compressor warm enough to start, I can get right to work. Saving time. I also won't have to deal w/stiff rubber air hoses when moving around the car.I'm sure I'll find uses for the Dewalt DCF900 Cordless Impact Wrench during the warmer months when I encounter something my 1/2" Air Impact Gun won't budge.Since I already had both a Dewalt DCB206 20v MAX 6ah Battery and DCB204 20v MAX 4ah Battery I didn't need the whole kit, so this item fit the bill in getting the cost down.I've own many Dewalt tools in the past and am sure this one will be a welcomed addition to my Tool box.I knocked off a star cause it is a bit heavy and the only complaint I have is the location of the button to change directions.When wearing heavy work gloves and picking up and/or operating the Tool it's too easy to hit that button and change the direction from forward to reverse or vice versa. I've never enountered that before w/other Battery powered tools from Dewalt.
