Different but great.
Not waxy like Caren D’ Ashe blender.More abrasive like Prismacolor blender, but The Kalour blender actually moves and blends the layers of pencil.

Amazing. Very happy.
These work great. Helps me blend and smooth harsh lines so seamlessly. Worth the price, was actually surprised how well they worked for how affordable they were. These cut my blending process in half. Will be my go to colorless blenders as long as they're available. I've had zero issues using them, no breaks and they don't require a lot of pressure at all to get soft and smooth blends.

Great blenders!
Have used these a couple of times and they work fantastic. Easy to sharpen, and they blend the color pencils very well.

good alternative to other more expensive blenders
I like to use derwent blenders as they blend almost all colored pencils and can offer a beautiful gradient in your artwork. The drawback is that they are expensive. So when I saw the Kalour blenders in a 6 pack for about 1 dollar a piece, I decided to try them out. They do a wonderful job blending quite similar to derwent or prisma at a much lower price. However, they are crumbly and will break easily in the sharpener. But for the price I gladly put up with that.

Brittle cores
I received these today and right out of the package the core of the blender broke 3 times. I was trying to replace my Prismacolor blender that I have been using for months and now the Kalour pencil is almost the same size as my old blender. I used the same Prismacolor sharpener that I use on my Prismacolor blender. I normally read the best and worst reviews before buying, but I have heard how much others love the Kalour pencils and bought them without reading the reviews. I was considering buying a set of the colored pencils, but will not based on what I received today. I’ll stick with what I know. I’m going to send them back.Edit pending. The company reached out and offered a full refund. I give them credit for having good customer service. The pencil did okay as a blender, but I’m babying it in hopes that it doesn’t break on me again.

blends well
well made, sharpens and blends easily. easy to use and feels good in the hand. this is my first time using a colour pencil blender and it was pretty simple to figure out. you'll want to wipe the tip between shades when using, or use different blender pencils for different shades.
