Loving my new BMJL shorts. I discovered these by accident. My Sister gave a black pair to me due to they did not work for her body. Since I have more in my backside they fit me great, so if you have more of a flatter back end they may not give you much shape. What I love about these is the back is a little longer than the front which is great for people with more booty. I never feel like they are too short on me especially being in the 50’s age bracket, and also being a hairstylist I feel much more appropriate with the length of these shorts being in front of my clients. I will say the legs are a little big on me but I opted for the medium due to the small so I did not feel to squished from the thick elastic waistband. When comparing with my black ones I realized the printed pair where bigger in the legs due to inconsistent sizing. Hoping my green ones come in the correct sizing. Loving the zipper pocket as well. Pair them with a cute crop top and you are ready to go! :)***update***8-18-23Medium Green shorts arrived and to my disappointment they are cut big in the legs just like my printed ones. The black mediums my sister gave me where perfect. So off to order smalls to see if they are better… so now I end up with 2 pairs of smalls which seem to fit better in the legs, but are a smidge tighter in the waist but not uncomfortable tight compared to my mediums. They do give me slight muffin top which I’m not concerned with due to I wear looser tops. Maybe they will motivate me too lose a few lbs, lol. Now I have two mediums and two smalls. I’m happy with both sizes which will give me more versatility in wether I want more relaxed fit (m) or more of a true fit (s) Still loving my shorts but just be aware of inconsistent sizing. I can understand if my review title isn’t convincing, but I’ll explain. I’m someone who reads a lot of reviews before I commit, and there were some mixed ones on this item. I wanted a pair of athletic shorts that didn’t cost me $50+ and were high-waisted, so I tried these. The material is lightweight, moisture-wicking, and has decent stretch in it. I personally LOVE the seat coverage of the built-in brief. Too often, shorts with a brief liner ride up when you move and these cover like a full-coverage bottom, so no wedgie worry! Win. Some reviews said the back was too long - I disagree. I have longer legs than torso and a rounder bottom, so I loved the back length. Where I’m a little bummed.. The shorts do ride up in the front, and they will if you have a more quad-dominant leg. Because they’re a nice, longer length with a more flat front (to be more flattering, no doubt!), there’s nowhere else for the fabric to go once you start moving and walking. If I wanted to wear these shorts for a casual, athleisure outfit, the ride wouldbother me because I’d have to keep pulling them down. Since I plan to work out in them, run, play volleyball, I guess I won’t have to tug them up in front? I am 5’7, 160lbs, and I ordered a medium based on the size chart measurements. I feel this is the most appropriate size, as a L would have been too “balloon-y”. So overall, they’re not too bad! I will probably get other pairs to rotate, just wish that the front didn’t “pooch” out as much.

I am 130ish lbs, 5 feet tall, and bought a medium for a more relaxed fit. I could easily fit a small as well.I’m very picky about fitness apparel and the way that it fits and feels. I wore these shorts all day from a long car ride to a water park and they were versatile and comfortable. They dried very quick while at the water park and didn’t ride up uncomfortably. The lining inside is buttery soft and does NOT ride up uncomfortably. Also it is nice that the pockets comfortably fit a phone. Some shorts I have ordered in the past from other companies have pockets don’t fit a phone. These are nice and large in a good way.

These shorts are very comfortable. The hot pink is HOT pink, which I love. They fit well, high up on my waist unlike some other sport shorts, and they have good length in the rear area. I am 5’3” and they are a bit long but I like that, if you are looking for short tight fitting shorts these are not that. I am definitely buying more in different colors, these are my favorite shorts now!

These shorts are high waisted which is my go to preference after having kids. The waistband is snug without squeezing the life out of you or highlighting any spare tires. The quality is nice and holds up well through workouts and washing. And even swimming! The bikini liner does ride up on me a bit, but nothing a little wedgie pull can’t fix. Will def get more colors. The length is flattering as well.

I am a sucker for neon, and these don’t disappoint! The quality seems great. They stay out and don’t ride up. They are easy to wash and didn’t bleed or fade. I did air dry them but I air dry a lot of my clothes. I think they would fair well in the dryer! I love how high waisted they are and the thick waist bad gives a little tummy control.

I've been dying to get a pair of hot pink running shorts and these are so cute!! I ordered a large although in a lot of these I can wear a medium but went with the size instructions advertised. Love the high waist and the flowy material and it has a pocket. Great for being on the go! I would definitely recommend these!

I ordered two pairs of these shorts in a size large (tan and black). They fit so good. I love the inner underwear lining and the fact that the shorts are long in the back for more coverage. I’m 5’5, 150lbs with a 32in waist & 37in hip and the large fit me perfect.
