Easy In / Questionable removal!
These were bought to secure new 32mm deck boards after removal of the 19yr old ones.I chose Torx head screws over the more common Philips head because Torx heads are much, MUCH easier to remove than Philips heads… especially after 19yrs!My only small gripe was when I had to remove a couple of the new boards, just after screwing them down, there were 16 screws per board & 2 of these broke mid-shank, meaning a decent portion of the screw was left in the board & the securing joist. Not a major issue for me, because I’m hoping these will last another 19yrs…. But still, I’d have expected every screw to have remained intact upon removal.
