Digital recorder
This thing is great. I'm connecting it to a vcr to record from. And I have a USB hard drive to record to. Plus, you can use the unit to play from since it has a screen. Very cool

image recording not fluid
I tested with vcr vhs pal and ntsc. tested with HI8 camcorder. The recorded image is not fluid. Jerky. Horrible if you watch the recording on a TV. Much better result with a dvd recorder. disappointed with the purchase

Has not worked properly.
The product never worked... It is not charging, it is not turning on, the computer says the device is not functioning.

OK for the price
I keep buying analog-digital video convertors and keep spending a little more each time. This device is adequate for converting old VHS/Hi-8/VHS-C tapes for the photo shop where I work, but I haven't tried anything in the high-def department, and I'm guessing it would probably be a disappointment. I can't remember what I paid but it was probably around $100 and I think it works well for that price. If you're looking for broadcast quality, this isn't it.

Audio/video wasn’t synched
I used this digitizer to digitize VHS home movies. After digitizing, the beginning of the video is great. Unfortunately, the longer the video lasts, the audio and video start to not match. By the end of a two hour video, there is about a one second gap between the audio and video. I ended up returning it.

No response
The product worked fine for the time that it was covered for a return. It has since stopped working and will stay on and you cannot get to any video but it remains on the home screen. I have attempted to contact the seller but Amazon makes that almost impossible. Now I have product that I cant get support from the manufacturer and all Amazon says is that it is out of the window for being able to get support on. They are so worried about people going around them that they make it impossible to find contact information for they product they allow to be sold on their website.
