Frog Pig Pug

This was exactly the game I was hoping it would be. It is very similar to Set, but much more accessible to kids (mine are ages 10, 9, and 5) . They were able to understand the concept and start playing within minutes. I recommend this for any family that likes to play games. It moves pretty quickly and makes a nice break from some of the longer board games.The game itself fits into a slim box with a simple page of instructions. The object of the game is to identify patterns between cards, where a set (or as it is called here, a Proper Unit Group, or PUG) consists of three cards with all common traits (all pugs for example) or all different traits (one pink, one tan, one green). We started with a practice round where we would explain why each set was valid or not, and the next round we were playing for real. Pretty soon it was a lively game and my 9-year-old and 10-year-old both won a couple of rounds.And it's on Prime...can't beat that.

This game is really cute and it requires thought and problem solving. My 7 and 8 year old boys love playing it, although the rules do take some reminding as they are a little more complex.
