Controllers are fantastic, SOMEBODY NEEDS A RAISE FOR THE PACKAGING THOUGH
Holy wow, alright where do I start? Everything is responsive and feels authentically like an SNES Controller, which is nice. That being said, what initially blew me away was the care and love that went into the packaging because SOMEBODY NEEDS TO BE GIVEN THE TREMENDOUS CREDIT FOR THE PACKAGING. Alright, you might think I'm a little crazy or silly for going on about this, but once you get one of these you'll see exactly what I saw. Too many times I've bought technology online and gotten it in a zip-lock-type bag, or shoved in a box without proper packaging so stuff bounced around and smashed against everything. The boxes these arrived in? I would give 10 out of 5 stars to, because it absolutely blew me away! They arrive in this nice grey box that has a sleeve with 8Bitdo SN30 information on it, so you slip it out of this sleeve, hassle free as it's not too tight or too loose. Once you slip it out, there's an embossed 8Bitdo logo on the containing box. This box you don't have to worry about tearing because it's like a jewelry case, you slip the top off the bottom to reveal the controller nestled in foam. Once you take the perfect feeling controller out of the box, you'll notice there's some brown board underneath, so you'll slip the form aside and grip the little tab you'v revealed to find a hidden compartment under the controller containing a booklet with information on the controller itself. Under this are two rectangle brown board boxes that feel incredible. You'll slip these out to find one contains a Micro USB Cable for charging, and the other contains a metal keyring with 8Bitdo's logo and phrase on it. What's old is new again. Everything is a nice matte, it feels fantastic, and just wow.Let me talk about the controllers as well a little since that's supposed to be the real star here... The controllers connect bluetooth and work perfectly fine. I've had them about a week now and have zero complaints. Very responsive, feels authentic while also allowing me to not sit 5 feet away from the TV Screen. It's great and exactly what I need them for.

A must have for any RetroPie/emulator setup!
These controllers are amazing! Anyone who played SNES as a kid will love these... If you have built a RetroPie system or simply use NES/SNES emulators on your computer these are a must have!Pros- Bluetooth and USB support!- Great battery life- Rechargable batteries!- The buttons have a great response and original SNES feel- Weighted perfectly!- Carrying cases for hauling around your controller and not damaging themCons- Charging cords are a bit short. On the off chance you play a lot these are short enough that you probably can't use them to play and charge at the same time if you have a standard home theater setup... easy fix, use a different USB cable :)- Updating the controllers could be easier for novices (although I suspect if you're buying these you've probably built your own RetroPie so this won't be an issue!)

These controllers work great, I use them with retropie and recalbox. They are easier to connect to retropie tho it only takes 2 seconds to connect, recalbox is a bit spotty sometimes, I was fustrated with recalbox because I would pair the controllers they worked perfectly but if I turned the controllers off and wanted to pair them again they would not pair. I had to go to settings forget Bluetooth devices and start over every time after about 10 times or so I noticed that recalbox picked up quite a few Bluetooth signals when I went to pair these controllers, so I turned of all the other Bluetooth devices that I wasn't using at the time and the controllers started to pair a lot quicker. Before this I was scanning with the controller up to 6 times with no luck now it'll connect on the first or second attempt, I would recommend upgrading the firmware right out of the box also.

These look and feel amazing. The build quality and attention to detail (even how they are packaged) is pretty cool. I am using them with a Retropie setup with a Pi 3 and had some trouble setting them up until I realized I needed to go to their website to download and install the latest firmware. They have a perfect weight and balance in your hand, the buttons are extremely responsive, the D pad feels great with action games, shooters, etc. I tested them with many emulators and even played a couple races of Crash Team Racing for ps1 on them and it was perfect. Very happy I splurged for these.

Some of the best controllers I've ever bought
Some of the best controllers I've ever bought. They're a little thicker than an actual SNES controller, but you don't notice after a while. Bought these to use with a Raspberry Pi and they work magnificently in both wired and wireless configurations. Phenomenal battery life as well. Only noticed one issue and I'm honestly not sure if it's the controllers or the Raspberry Pi, but when I power on the controller, once the bluetooth connects, it acts like I'm holding down left on the D pad. It stops and behaves normally, though, when I start browsing games. I have not checked to see if there is an updated firmware for these yet, so we'll see if that little problem stops once I update them. Couldn't be happier with them otherwise. They feel every bit as good as a stock SNES controller.

AVOID!!!
First let me say, I almost never write reviews, Second let me add I am a computer engineer and this sort of stuff is very easy for me. I really wanted to like this product, when it works its great, controls work great and response time is perfect. I was using these with a retopie emulator. The controls would not hold blue tooth connection beyond a day or so. After re-adding them several times, they eventually stopped working. They wont connect and when they do they prompt for a code to be entered. I tried to rebuild my retropie several times, different versions etc, same results. IN the end I just gave up. Bottom line - avoid these they are not worth the hassle. Also if we dont believe me, check on youtube, tons of people with the same issues. AVOID!!!

Good quality, but where are my cases?
Was able to get to pair with my raspberry pi quite easily. Battery life is very good and there is no noticable lag. Great build quality.Where are my carrying cases?
