Chef'nTwist'n Sprout Brussels Sprout Prep Tool, Green -

This item seemed worthy upon initial conception. Myself & my daughter both love brussel sprouts. So, I thought this tool thinking that it would be just the thing to help prepare them. However, upon use, the center of the core of the sprout's core was elusive. I never could center the tool on the spout's core which is necessary in order for the tool to work properly. I ended up coring the sprouts with a paring knife. Although inexpensive, I feel that I wasted my $ on this.

I gave this as a gift to my daughter who said it was useless & much easier to simply trim manually. I didn't bother to return however small financial loss wasn't worth the effort. Based on my daughter's feedback would not tecommend

The things I like about this tool is it does what it is intended to do -- remove the core with minimum waste. The blade is sharp so be careful when twisting the sprout because your fingers move toward the blade as you twist. It is easy to clean under running water. The downside is that if the pointed tip is not centered there will be a small edge of core that needs trimming with a paring knife. Four stars for the trimming; this was shown in the advertising video. Overall I like it and would recommend.

We do a log of b sprouts. Thought this would be a great addition to our kitcher. Not so much. I guess it works but seemed inferior to just using a knife. I think it got recycled.

Works great. I don't get how people have a problem using it. I can see why people are impatient with it but the extra 5 seconds has a huge payoff in tenderness. I washed them then trimmed uneven stems then used the tool. The Brussels sprouts trimmed with the tool we're Leaps and Bounds over cutting the stem and scoring it with an X, this tool wins over the knife for sure.

I love Brussels sprouts but hated preparing until I used this gadget. My relatives and friends were over and saw me use it and went crazy over how easy and fun it was and asked for it as a Christmas gift so I purchased several and everyone that I bought for, was excited to go home and use it. A big hit. Must buy if you love Brussels sprouts.

Ordered this as i got tired of using a small knife and thought it would be a lifesaver...Its ok on larger sprouts but medium to small sized ones which i picked up from Costco for the holidays just dont do as well. Still need a knife to get all the leaves off nicely and not torn up.

Bought as a stocking-stuffer for a cook with high standards. It was a hit and works as advertised. It does make brussels sprouts even more enjoyable. Certainly not essential, but its great for that relative who has everything!

Great gadget. I can only use it on the larger sprouts, & saves me time.
