This filter attached easily and securely on the first try. It replaced a Kenmore GEN11042FR-08 filter for my Kenmore refrigerator (which is essentially a re-branded LG model). After running water through as instructed, the taste seemed better but honestly not that much different than my tap water. I suppose it's doing it's job but the filter industry has it made in the shade. It's hard to track down how efficiently these filters work. What are we paying for? Do they they remove 50% of any lead and mercury or closer to 90%? What brand works better? If they were independently tested and the results easy to find, I'd give a higher rating.

This filter was so easy to install and it filters the water just like it is supposed to work.

I gave these filters 4 stars because they have been great until our last order. One of the filters is making the water taste bad.

Works for my refrigerator. The refrigerator will no longer remind you to change the filter , so use the month reminder stickers.

If its my fault in installing this then its a 5 star product as I just removed the old filter and replaced it with this one without shutting anything off.And there was little water dripping for few hours. After that its fine with no issues so far.

A bit hard to install, but lasts a long time (6 months+) and water flavor is great. Have purchased 4 of these. Plus the price is less than half of what you pay in retail home improvement store.

I received the replacement filter for my lg refrigerator in a timely matter, so far it is working good the water tastes fine.
