Tooling useless
Punch doesn't appear to be hardened. Using a block of soft pine as a base to cut a hole in garden mat reinforced with a layer of gorilla tape, the punch was blunt after cutting just 6 holes. Using a sharpening stone it could managed another 2 holes at a time. Nice burrs in the cutout in the side as well. Closing tools have a ridge with imprints into every eyelet as well.I guess it's a case of wait and see how well the eyelets survive a winter outdoors.

Punch quality
The punch is not the best in the world, it appears to be from very soft steel and blunts after four or five holes. On the plus side it sharpens very easily with a file

Cutting tool does not work at all.
The eyelets work. But the cutting tool does not cut at all. Wouldn't cut through fabric at all. Waste of money! I had to cut the circles out with a stitch unpicker

Solid tools
Quick delivery, solid cutter and worked well through 2 layers of heavy material. Would recommend using lead as a backing block instead of timber.

Great tool - for canvas tarpaulin
Just used this kit to fit 24 additional grommets to a 600g canvas tarp. Tip: use a very hard wood base for the hole punch. Punch from various angles and not straight down !

Doesn’t work
I don’t know if you need a hammer to make this work but it wouldn’t even cut a hole through thin plastic never mind canvas which is why I bought it
