Yes this device is expensive, but it has to be thought of as a treatment program, not just a gadget. Let's face it, if you have been suffering for any length of time, you will probably find a way to give this a go. It's worth mentioning that if you go to the Flow Neuroscience website you can choose to rent this device on a month by month basis instead of purchasing, which might be better for many people.The Flow app you need to use in conjunction with the treatment has clearly been well thought out; the user interface, videos, chatbot, are all excellent. If you have tried the Headspace meditation app it's a similar friendly look and feel.The experience of using the device is just a mild, slightly irritating tingling. I've only had a few sessions but already feel the benefit - if you are an over-thinker or ruminator I can best describe the experience as your mind feels lighter, as you might do after a walk in nature. It's as if your brain is being directed to think outwards, rather than about yourself. I felt this during my first treatment, but no doubt everyone will be different.Hopefully you will know fairly quickly if this product might work for you. Well-presented product, slick app for running it, looks the part. But I can only give it one star because it made no difference to me at all. Zero. I have tried many things for serious depression over the years. I recognise that different things work for different people, this product may work for you. Another black mark is that the replacement pads (a new pair needed for each session) were a pricey £19 per box on Amazon a few months ago, now only available direct from the manufacturer for £28 (misleadingly advertised as £15 before adding £13 postage). This is just a rip-off, the pads are simply bits of sponge dampened with saline.

I bought this product and had high hopes, but I was not impressed.I know this product would work for some people, but it did not work for me.You do have a 30 day return policy, which I did return and got full refund with no problems.The downside was there was 101 questions before you even start, it is not a plug and play device.The device will not work unless you are connected to WIFI and the Bluetooth and Location needs to be switched on. So you do need a smart phone.It is controlled mostly by the developers, you simply can not put it on your head and press start.Personally it was not for me, it was over priced too. £399 is a bit over the top.

Effective in the short term, I'm 6 weeks into treatment and I felt so much better in weeks 1-4, now that the pace of treatment is slowed, I am better but I can tell when it's been days between treatments. I hope over the long term that I notice this less. The app is really user friendly and keeps things bite sized.

I can genuinely feel an empowering force from using this device! My anxiety and depression has been greatly reduced by this device and the accompanying app. You need 30 mins each session to complete the stimulation and whilst this is happening you can go through the various tasks on the app. The stimulation feels like a nice tingling to the front of the head. No pain whatsoever, quite a nice feeling actually.If you have tried other treatments give this a go! I tried cognitive therapy and didn’t have quite as much success as I have with this!Good luck

It is very expensive but so worth it if you are really struggling and medications etc have not worked efficiently. 1 week in and I can see results already - hope in the next couple of weeks I see more results!
