3000F CASTABLE Refractory Compound (5LB) Used for Forge, Foundry, Glass

Seems to do the job

I ordered this a bit over a month ago, and finally got around to using it due to being out of town for work. Bag was sealed until today and stored in a dry place, but when I opened it, the bag was full of hard pebble sized chunks. Very dissappointed with the product and I will definitely not he ordering from this company again.

Either I was shipped the wrong product or this company doesn't know what refractory cement is. Chunks of rocks. Pieces of fiberglass big enough to pick out and also stick out after application. Garbage garbage garbage.

Wasn't expecting it to be as clumpy as it was and was skeptic after I applied it.But let me tell you, this stuff rocks.Hold in heat so we'll I was able to run my double propane burner at 5psi and keep almost 2k degrees.

Worth every penny.. Glad I tried it because I'm Sold on this product..

This was not for a forge like I thought it would be, it's a waste of money.

Thought i had returned it but i did not. What i received did not mix well. Particles are huge so it can't be used for patches. ( Grain size is about the size of .177 pellet ) I'd give it away but I'm not that heartless. Bottom line get it from somewhere else. This company does make good casting sand though so i thought id give it a try.

Bought this to line my forge. What I got looked like concrete mix. It was full of rocks and chunks. Not what I was looking for. May work for some, but I threw it away and went a different route.
