After being frustrated trying to get the hook/loop fasteners on my greenhouse window flap to work, I decided to install snaps. This set appeared ideal, and while I won't need 400 snaps to secure the greenhouse window, there will be many other uses for these in the future. Not only does this set include 400 snap sets (each set includes 2 button tabs, a plug and a socket), but also a screwdriver, awl, crimp tool and replacement setting parts. For my installation through the greenhouse wall, I located the snap positions, pushed the button tab through from the back, pressed on the socket and had a helper inertial backstop the tab with a 4# engineering hammer. Then using a small ball-peen hammer and the replacement press pin indcluded with this set, I was easily able to flatten the pin on the button tab. The snap socket was easily attached to the greenhouse flap using the included crimp tool. Yes - I mashed a couple with the hammer setup, but the crimp tool worked perfectly - all of the sockets were installed without damage. I could NEVER have done this with a metal snap set, and these plastic snaps hold very well. I am Very happy with this purchase.

Used this product on baby wear. Lovely colours and lots of snaps provided with neat little bags. The tool, however, was difficult to squeeze & the process had to be repeated about 10 times to flatten the centre piece to allow the snap to close.

Nicely made. Snaps work great. Great variety of colors. Gun is easy to use, snaps assemble easily. Used to make a variety of bags and items that needed closurers. Very happy. Looking for items to add snaps too.

I ordered a few different sets to see which colors I liked best. Some of the others came with plastic cases and some with bags. These came sealed with a little window to show the color, but it also includes a bag of clear zip closure bags to store the pieces once you open each color.I had a bunch of pouches to make for charity this year that needed closures and I didn't want to fuss with zippers. These are perfect for my needs and any other little projects I need to make!

Bought to use on baby bibs,etc. Directions included and straight forward. Nice variety of colored snaps. Setter itself seems sturdy and works well so far. Great for my use, BUT I can see it wouldn't be suitable for some heavier projects.
