Do not buy this. The battery gave out after a year

Inconsistent charge, wouldn't read properly
Took this battery to an apple repair shop after installing. I followed the instructions to fully condition the battery. When at the repair shop the tech showed me that the charge % was all over the place and could not get a consistent read.

Better than expected
I bought this battery to replace the failing battery in my old MacBook Pro 15" retina model. It dropped right in and works great. Battery life has been restored to new. Love it!!! It was cheaper than other models but works fine. I used the string method (like flossing) to remove the OEM battery rather than dissolving the glue.

Dear on arrival
Battery has 0 cycles, but dead on arrival - shows 1% charge and just 10% of capacity (~800mAh). Not charging, does not work without external power. Now I have to go through the hoops of replacement one more time.

Doesn’t hold the charge
Doesn’t hold the charge, computer will shut down abruptly at 25% charge.
